Obituary of Nina May

Nina May, a remarkable woman, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2023, at the age of 96, due to natural causes, at Woods Park Care Centre in Barrie. Born on April 30, 1927, her life journey was marked by countless cherished memories and significant historical events that shaped the world during her lifetime.

Nina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Al, whose memory she carried with her throughout her life. She was a devoted mother to her children, Cathie (Wayne) and Jeff (Sean), both of whom brought immense joy to her heart. Her legacy continued through her grandchildren, Jennifer (Randy), Chris (Alex) and Laura, and her great-granddaughter, Evie, who will always remember her warmth, wisdom, and love. Cherished big sister of Joan and Helen, deeply missed by both and forever in their hearts.

As Nina entered the world in 1927, the year was adorned with historical milestones that would resonate through the ages. Charles Lindbergh's historic solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean captured the world's imagination, and the era witnessed the emergence of the first "talking" motion picture, revolutionizing entertainment. The Roaring Twenties were a time of innovation and social change, and Nina's presence in this world exemplified the resilience and spirit of her generation.
