The Life begins when you are born
And no one knows, which way you’re torn
The good and bad times are with you
And it’s up to you, what you will do
Unfortunately you were not blessed
With a long term life and laid to rest
Well much too soon but it’s for the best
Your soul is with god, who will give you rest
You will be missed by all of us
and with your memory, we are blessed.
For ever we will think of you
So go with god, good bye to you.
To you dear Debbie from your father in law
Dad to Jeffrey, the father of your children
and proud Opa to your loving boys Christopher and Noah.
Your proud Father in Law and Opa
Wolfgang

Dear Debbie
Love brought you into this world and our families being reunited with you 26 years later was a joyous day! Learning you were raised in a loving family gave us much comfort.
We are grateful for the many years while you were healthy when you, Jeff and the boys would join us for the O’Connell and Robertson family events.
We are blessed to know your beautiful sons, Christopher and Noah.
In the early stages of your diagnosis, we looked forward to those times when it was still possible to bring you to our home for the day.
In the middle stages of your diagnosis, we looked forward to wheeling you through the neighbourhood, shopping at the Dollar Store and bringing you to Harveys for burgers.
In the late stages of your diagnosis and during COVID, we looked forward to our window visits, phone and FaceTime calls.
We admire the way you fought MS, with such grace, courage and determination.
You are loved, you will be remembered, Rest In Peace.
Gary, Colleen, Pam, Ashley and Jenna

I have known Debbie for many years, as I had met her and Jeff through my sister and my brother-in-law, when we were teens.
Several years later, when my sons were little, we were lucky enough to run into Debbie and she agreed to provide daycare for them. I enjoyed all of our evening talks. Andy and Mitchell stayed with Debbie until she couldn't continue with daycare.
Debbie was such a sweet, soft spoken, gentle person, and I had always adored her. She was such a wonderful friend and will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. RIP Debbie, until we meet again
All of our Love, <3

I met Debbie in high school - I was very scared and lonely, as I was new to the area, and when I was lining up to register, she walked by and smiled at me. I instantly felt her warmth and soon after we became friends. We also found some mischief throughout our younger years of friendship together. So many giggles, so many laughs. I could always be myself with her...I could tell her anything. She and I figured we were Anne and Diana from Anne of Green Gables. We would write letters to each other and act out scenes from the movie and share secrets. When we were older, we found summer jobs together - mainly telemarketing jobs where we could sit close and giggle about things, then both worked at the mall to stay close. As we moved into adulthood we stayed in touch, and I got to meet Jeff and eventually her beautiful boys. I moved provinces and we didn't stay in touch as much...but when we connected it was like no time had passed. Her beautiful smile...the sun is brighter with her smile behind it. Much much love to her family at this time.
Goodbye my sweet sweet kindred spirit. Love, Jess

I first met Debbie as the Kindergarten teacher of her son Noah. The love that she had for her boys was evident right from the start. In the three years that I taught Noah (JK, SK, and Grade 1), Debbie and I grew closer in the parent and teacher relationship. Then when we discovered we were both Christians, we grew to be friends, sharing many joys and concerns. Noah came to know my husband Hal from his occasional drop ins, to the classroom. For some reason Noah took to him and would run over and give him a big hug. This was a source of great pleasure for Debbie, to see the connection between the three of us. It was such a delight when she and the boys started attending KCC, bringing with her the fullness of joy that she had, just being in the house of her Lord ... her smile would lighten up the sanctuary! (Rhoda)
I remember the first (or second) time Debbie brought the boys to church. I was just starting the sermon when Noah walked up onto the stage and curled himself inside the pulpit between my legs and proceeded to take a nap. I finished the service with Noah happily inside the pulpit. Best service ever!
I remember the times spent with Debbie and the discussions we had about her faith and her boys. She always had a smile and a list of difficult questions waiting for me when I entered her room. I remember the bible studies where she attended via ipad .. she was such an important part of our study. (Pastor Hal)
We moved away from Ontario a few years ago, and can not attend the service for Debbie, but we wish to send our heartfelt sympathy to Debbie's family, knowing how much she was loved and will be dearly missed. Noah, you and Christopher were the apple of her eye!
In His Love, Pastor Hal and Rhoda Arthurs

Debbie came into our family when she was a year old. A sister for our two young sons Simon and Robert. It quickly became clear that she had a mind and a will of her own! She was loving and caring and could be a handful if family "requirements" didn't go her way! As she grew up she almost always found a special close friend wherever we lived and they would enjoy the adventures that Debbie's creative imagination brought forth! Debbie changed our lives and we learned and grew from having her to love.
In later years we enjoyed the growth of our family gatherings together as new husbands and wives joined us and Debbie and Jeff added Christopher and Noah to the number. Her boys were the source of great happiness for her. We shared in happiness and pain together. These later years have been difficult for her as the MS attacked her body, but this very challenge increased her love for her God and Lord, Jesus. Again she found and is loved by a special friend who shared her adventure in faith, Jeanette . Thank you Jeanette for your faithfulness. We will miss Debbie, but we rejoice with her soul which is now celebrating with her mum and others who loved her as we do. Thankyou Debbie for being you,
Love Dad
