Jane, I am just learning now of your deep loss in Bill's (always Kim to me) passing. I am so very sorry for what you and your family are experiencing. Lorena, Doug, Tommy and Glen along with Kim, all of you are engrained in my heart, my sister and brothers from another mother. I can't imagine the loss you feel. My heart goes out to all of you.
With much love

Bill and I worked at OLL together for many years. He always took time to say hello and genuinely ask how my day was going. He was such a lovely man and always knew how to get a laugh out of me and dispell a rough day. Many times over the years he supplied my classroom with pencils that he found strewn in the hallways (I was thankful for that!), and we often shared gardening stories. I am so very sad to find out he has passed. He will be missed.

Mr. Austin was a ray of kindness to me and many other students. He was always so helpful and nice. When I was in high school I would run with the running club and he always cheered us on even when we wanted to give up. He will be greatly missed by myself and many other students.

I was in shock to hear of Bill's passing. His beautiful smile was a warm welcome to the kids as they entered the school. In nice weather, we was usually outside doing a task that allowed him to be there as the students arrived. He was so looking forward to spending his retirement being with the love of his life, Jane and his grandchildren. A lesson to all of us to cherish every moment we have. You will be greatly missed.

Our condolences to Jane and all Bill’s family.
We were so sad to hear about the passing of our good friend Bill. I have lots of great memories of working with Bill over the years, but I was especially proud to help Bill and Jane when they wanted to expand the patio behind their house. Bill was all about family and friends, and he wanted a patio where he could have lots of people over. Bill looked after me while I did the work. Always like Bill to make sure I had everything I needed...including tunes! He was really happy with the results and couldn’t wait to start entertaining everyone he knew. It was always the simple things that could put a smile on Bill’s face.
You will be sadly missed old man.
Cheers to you.

I am so sad to hear of Bill's passing. We worked together several years at Lady of the Lake H.S. We struggled through many snow storms to get the school ready and safe for the kids and staff but we did it. I appreciate all the help and good camaraderie that you gave us as you and we kept the school clean and safe through the years.Job well done! And nobody could make a breakfast sandwich and expresso like you. Gonna miss you Bud! God Bless You. Dannis.

My condolences to all of Bill's family and friends. I had the pleasure of working with Bill at Our Lady of the Lake. It is his smile that stands out the most as he was always so positive and happy. It was obvious how much he cared for students/staff and the feeling was mutual. He will be dearly missed.

Bill is a man who truly enjoyed the little things in life. It was those little things that he took pride in and did in special ways to show his friends and family he loved them. The special little ways he showed Jane his love & adoration. Little details for visits with the grandkids to guarantee a fun time! His care to cook his creations just right. His little gardens of veggies & flowers. The many little things his siblings will recall with laughter when they reminisce about him. All the little things a daddy does for his daughter. A wonderful way to remember a great guy and remind ourselves why it’s the “Little Things” that truly matter. Thank you Bill, for all the Little Things we will never forget! Thank you to the entire Austin Family for the love and support you have shown our sister over the years.
Love from Sandy, Richard, Emma & Peter

Bill was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. What I remember about Bill is that he was always so calm and happy and he wanted to help people that needed a helping hand. In 2001 I remember he wanted to contribute to the Georgina food bank as Christmas was approaching. He will me missed greatly, my sincere condolences to Jane, his beloved wife, all his dear family and friends.

My heartfelt condolences to all of you. I have so many wonderful memories of Bill, it’s hard to know where to begin. Bill was a loving husband to my sister Jane, a wonderful dad to his daughter Nicci, and step dad to Derek and Curtis. He was a loving and fun Grampa to Grace, Sarah and Michael. Bill loved to cook, so I always made sure I brought him fresh farm eggs, which put the biggest smile on his face. To me he was a Chef, and I enjoyed his home cooked meals so much. He loved his music and loved to dance. Bill will forever be in our hearts and truly missed.

Dear Jane and Family,
My family is saddened by the terrible news of the death of our beloved brother in Christ Bill. We will miss Bill a lot, especially his welcoming, kind and loving heart. The beautiful life that he shared with all of us at school will be the greatest source of strength to help us move on this special bus of life as we each wait for our individual bus stop. Our God, a perfect and mighty healer, chose to answer the complete opposite of our prayers and wish to stretch his healing hands over Bill. Let His will be done. May the Almighty God hold him in His Palm now, comfort the bereaved family, relatives, and friends at this very difficult time of mourning.
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in Eternal Peace. Amen.

Dear Austin Family,
I am very sorry for your loss. He will be missed. I have many fond memories of Bill but the one I always think about is when he was preparing, I believe, a wedding video. He surprised me with his zest for technology. He enjoyed putting all the photos together and incorporating the music. It turned out great. That was a side of Bill we seldom saw at school. Bill always spoke about what Jane and him had planned for their weekends with the grandchildren, I think it was often the highlight of his week. I will keep you all in my prayers during this difficult time.
