Obituary of Merle Augusta Swanson

Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the age of 80 years. Merle, beloved wife of Donald Swanson of Keswick. Loving mother of Tony Forsyth and his wife Sara of Keswick and of the late Stuart Forsyth and his surviving wife Buffy of Peterborough. Cherished 'Grandma' of MacKenzie, Findlay, Dakota, Bronwyn and Clayton. Dear sister of Janice Hopkins of Bradford and of the late Ron Hopkins (Doreen) of Hamilton. She will be greatly missed by her nephews, Stephen, Scott, Stanley and Stacey and many friends, especially the Georgina Quilting Guild. Special thanks to doctors nurses, staff and volunteers at Cedarvale Lodge, and Southlake Regional Health Centre for all of their wonderful care and support. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the M.W. Becker Funeral Home, 490 The Queensway South, Keswick, Ontario on Friday, May 31, 2019, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 12 noon. Interment of Cremated Remains will take place at Christ Church Anglican Churchyard, Roches Point.
