I am so sorry to hear about Doreen's passing. She made me laugh and I can still see her in the kitchen while a bunch of us would converge on the property for an impromptu beach party. She is in great company now with Bob, George and her family. This is one lady no one, who knew her, would ever forget.

Rob, Denise, Jim, Lisa & Family,
I’m so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. I have to say your mom was one of a kind and I always enjoyed talking with her during visits to Keswick or when she came down to visit dad. The stories and laughter when the family would get together..... I can still remember that. Our thoughts are with you.

Dear Pollock Family, I send you my most sincere condolences on the passing of Doreen. Because she lived large, she will be dearly missed by a lot of really fine people - those she raised and those she loved. Your line in the obituary says it all, she was rich in years and in experience.

Even though I only met her a few months ago, I grew fond of Doreen and her children. The care and love that came from the family was undeniable. Doreen had a fun humour and so very witty. She was a pleasure, and I will always remember her.
I wish for peace for you all, and to enjoy the memories Doreen left behind.

Dear Rob, Mary, Denise, Doug, Jim, Lorraine, Lisa, Tim and all of Doreen's grandkids.
I was so saddened to hear of your mom's (mother in law's) passing this week. My first thought of her is always having an open door policy at your family home; she was so welcoming and made even the quietest person feel at home and comfortable.
I enjoyed hearing so many stories over the years about your mom's travels, mostly to Vegas. Right now I am thinking about the time she only got to have some toothpaste for dinner. So much for having so many caring kids who would travel with her:)
Joking aside, she looked just like her photo the last time that I saw her and although I wish I didn't have to see her photo on this page, I feel that she fought a good long hard fight since your dad passed away and I am so glad that she is up in Heaven with him now. I know how much you all loved her and I know that you miss her horribly, I am so sorry that you have to experience that pain. Please know that you were the best kids any mom could have wished for. Her life was so full because of each and every one of you (and never boring). I hope that you can feel proud of all that you did for her. I know it was never a sacrifice but a privilege to spend time with your mom. My love to all of you at this very difficult time. Sheila Richardson

My heart goes out to you Lisa and all your family - Momsie was truly one of the best this world has seen - funny, strong, super-smart and loving. Our gang will miss her epic Trivial Pursuit battles, Keswick gossip mag features, egg salad sandwiches(wrap half up for the bottom of her purse), Vegas stories, Bingo dabbers, wine on the patio, George anecdotes...the list goes on and on. Who will provide political updates now? Who gets THE shoes? I loved her and will miss her very much. Thank-you for sharing your awesome Mom with me since kindergarten. We will laugh 'til we cry forever. Suexo

Our deepest sympathy to Rob, Mary, Denise, Doug, Jim, Lorraine, Lisa and Tim and all your children and their children on the passing of your dear Mom. She will always be remembered as the life of the party. Her quick wit and wonderful sense of humour left us all laughing. Her home was always open to all her children, their families and their friends. She truly embraced "Home Sweet Home." The Bible says that God's house has many rooms. We know that Doreen's will have many windows so she can keep close watch over family and friends. Who knows, there may be a fellow on a bicycle selling ice cream that stops by her window again and again and again.
May the many loving memories of your Mom bring you peace and strength. Take comfort in the fact that she passed away knowing how much she was loved by all of you.
Barb, Fred, Emily, Spencer and Eric Hill

Where do I start in telling you how much I loved my Aunt Doreen? Though the miles were great, my respect, admiration and love was close. She always made me laugh, had a funny joke to share, and was such a great source of support when my dad was sick. I will always be grateful for the trips she made to see him with my aunt and uncles, as I know my dad loved every minute of those visits, and I always appreciated her kind words of encouragement during that difficult time. Bob, Denise, Jimmy and Lisa, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was simply amazing on so many levels. I think her favorite story of me was reminding me of the “time I wore these loud sandals” and clomped up and down the wood floors early one morning waking everyone up. Sending you all much love and hugs. Andrea

Dear Lisa, Rob, Mary and the whole Pollock Family. Your mom was a good soul, interested in people, the world and just having fun. You all sincerely have been blessed by the gift of your mom, humour and smiles. She never really watched us play baseball when we were young, but your house became our house, barbecues, swimming, cabana parties and trivia over the years, by the lake...I know you all will truly miss her. God Bless and always tell good stories, she'd love it. Love and hugs Patti Weir
