I worked with your Mom for over 20 years many of them spent working those crazy night shifts . Barb was one of the funniest people I've known we were always trying to one up eachother one night it would be tonsee if we could scare eachother during our rounds and the next would be coming up with the best practical joke to play on the incoming Nurses . Barb had the driest sense of humor and could always keep it together which I would laugh at even harder because she never let on which meant I always got caught ! Lots of funny stories thats for sure . I only heard of Barbs illness this past Friday and regret not being able to say my goodbyes please know that she touched many Lifes and was loved by all she met . we spent hundreds of hours talking about our children and then shared in becoming young Gradmas together a role that she cherished deeply . I will miss her very much Our sincere condolences to all of you Sheline& John Armstrong

I will never forget how Barb went out of her way to encourage me after Rick died. Even though she was devastated by the death of her brother, she set aside her grief to comfort me and help me get through each day. She sent me 78 emails in the last 7 months. As I sat and read each one, I was reminded of the very special lady that she was. We cried together and we laughed together. We shared memories from when her and Rick were young. Her only concern when she found out that she was sick, was that Dave, her children and her parents would be okay. I am going to miss your emails Barb and your crazy sense of humor.

A truly sad day for our neighbourhood. For the last fifteen years that we have lived across the street, Barb and Dave have been the best neighbours you could ever ask for. Our deepest sympathy to Dave and his family. Things just won't be the same anymore.

Dave, Nick, Carly, David; We're so sorry for your loss. Our hearts hurt for you and we're praying for you constantly. Aunt Barb, you will be so very missed! Your sense of humour was so Hebbourn! We loved how you could make light of even tough situations and help us look on the bright side of things. Thank you for helping my mom so much after dad died, you really were a God-send; you brought her through the toughest time of her life, we all owe you. Love you forever.

My condolences. My Dad was a resident for 8 years at Newmarket Health Centre and often times when I went to visit him, Barb was the nurse on the floor. What a lovely person. I now work at Newmarket Health Centre and also knew her as a co-worker. I was so sorry to hear about her illness and passing. My thoughts are with you.

God Bless to Barb and her family. I worked with Barb at NHC for 7 years. I was heartbroken hearing of her battle. Always a hard worker and knowing her job as well as the people she took care of. Funny and there when you needed her. Always good for a laugh on that god awful afternoon shift. Thanks for being a great nurse Barb and always being there for us girls. I also worked at Newmarket Health Center and had the priviledge of knowing Barb. She was a wonderful person and a very hard worker. She seldom complained but just did her work. She will be sadly missed by all of us at the Home both employees and residents. May you be comforted by the wonderful memories you have of her.
