Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Center, Newmarket, surrounded by his family, on Thursday December 15, 2011, in his 74th year. Dearly loved husband of Valerie Barrett of Keswick. Pre-deceased by his first wife Jean Barrett (1999). Loving father of Lisa (Dave Pettigrew) of Keswick, Debbie (Gord Craig) of Scarborough. Dear step-father of Kevin (Patricia) Graham of Utopia. Cherished grandfather of Teagan and Kennedy. Brother of David Barrett and Carol Barrett. Predeceased by one brother Richard Barrett. Fred will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. So and also to the many doctors and nurses at Southlake Regional Health Centre who cared for Fred during his illness. Visitation will be held at M.W. Becker Funeral Home, Keswick 905 476 7711 on Monday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday December 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
