Aunt June, Becky, Ted and Larry, I was so deeply saddened when I learned the news about Uncle Garry today. I have so many fond memories of him from when I was a child. He was always kind, and had a great sense of humour. I will always treasure these memories of him. Please know that I am thinking of each and every one of you in this difficult time. Garry was such a dear friend and I'll miss him so much. We would chat on msn many times a week and I was up to see his new house in Dundalk twice after he moved in. He was so happy to be fixing it up and when I would tell him to take time out for fun he'd tell me that to him work was fun so he was doing what he loved best and then he'd take a day off to play his instruments. He was such a great help to me when I was laid up this past summer, showing up with lunch and helping me so much around my place when I couldn't do it. I had a bottle of his favorite rye here and told him to stop in whenever he drove by on his way to Keswick or just take a drive here. He had stopped in not long ago, but was wanting to get home to do work again. I've had such great memories of him and when he'd play his guitar on the deck or my fiddle. My daughter and her family met him this past summer and they all thought he was the greatest, making them laugh at his stories. They were here for Christmas and hoping he'd drop in so when they heard of his passing were of course upset. My heart goes out to all his family and friends. There was never a kinder or thoughtful man.
