Peacefully passed away on May 14, 2012 at the age of 50 years. Loving wife of Paul Toporowski. Cherished mother of Amy and Ryan, all of Keswick. Dear daughter of Frank & Julie Levec and sister of Frank (Diane) Levec. Daughter-in-law of Halina & the late Mike Toporowski and sister-in-law Wanda Toporowski and Richard (Grazyna) Toporowski. Beloved aunt of Christian, Nathan, Sean and Natalie. Beloved niece of Al (Katie) Opresnik, Millie (Gilbert) Seguin and Marianne (Danny) Basa. Dear friend of Suzanne Rush and Linda Menton. Born on April 29, 1962 in Don Mills, Ontario, Lydia had a zest for life. She possessed a great sense of humor, a soft spot for animals, and loved rock and roll. Her gregarious nature seemed to consume all those she met. To her children, friends, and family she was generous to a fault. As a nurse her compassion and laughter were contagious and would make anyone feel better. Her devotion to her children was without bounds, and drove her further in her courageous fight with cancer. ‘Lyd’ taught us to spoil our children a little more, laugh a lot, and cherish our friendships.
