I will always remember Uncle Bruce, everytime I saw him or talked with him on the phone he was full of joy and always found a way to make me laugh. I shared many great moments with him throughout my life, he was, is and always will be somone I look up to. I love him very much and still can't believe his is gone. Uncle Bruce you are missed. Vinicius told me on Thursday that he was very sad that he will never get to meet him. Amy, Milla, Nilene, Vinicius and I send our love and thoughts out to you all in this very difficult time. I wish we could be there with you all now, but we are glad that we got the chance to visit with you all this year, especially with Uncle Bruce, who, even though was sick, found the energy to stay with us and be the Uncle that I love so much. I know a letter on here can't take away all the pain from his loss, but I hope it can let you all know just how much he meant to me and how much I miss him. I love you all! Darryl and Family

Bruce once told me that his favorite Beatles song was " Yesterday ". Well I still believe my friend because anytime I want to I can sit on a blue cart in the Keswick LCBO warehouse and listen to Bruce tell me about the time he jumped out of a plane. And what about the time that guy broke into his apartment! I am gratful for knowing Bruce and very sorry for your loss. He meant alot to me and many others. Howard Hughes

Let me first start out by saying that while no words can ever offer a complete reprieve from grief….I hope you will find some comfort in the tender words shared by all of those who loved Bruce and were privileged enough to be a part of his life. Shortly after his diagnosis, we were fortunate enough to have shared a family pot-luck dinner. Upon my arrival, I expected to find sad faces and teary eyes – instead we entered a house filled with joy, laughter, warmth and an abundance of love. As I sat back and silently observed the stories and laughter, there was one moment that stood out. It was a quiet interaction that likely went completely unnoticed. Bruce quietly walked over and lovingly placed his hand on Jennifer’s shoulder. Without even a moment of hesitation she reached up and placed her hand on top of his. Their two hands clasped on her shoulder was a simple gesture and yet such an incredibly beautiful symbolic exchange – an unspoken way of saying: ‘I love you and I’ll always be right here’! It is that kind of unconditional love that can never leave us, even in death. Bruce, you will be forever missed, forever loved and never forgotten. Love Candace, Greg and Parker

We are very sad to hear of your loss. It has been a tough year and your family has stayed so strong and so connected. We should learn from your love for each other. I'd like to offer you a poem I came across many years ago as I know you will see your dad, your husband, your papa, your brother, and your friend in the world around you. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die. Thinking of you and yours.
