Denise, Heather and family This is a poem that Marie composed and gave to me. It is called GOD'S GARDEN AND MINE What a beautiful poem and what a beautiful lady. My garden is a secret place I go to tell my woes, To the one who really listens and the one who really knows, He knows when I am happy, He knows when I am sad He knows just how to guide me and make my heart feel glad. I know I love my garden and the gardens he has made I love to wonder through them, whether in the sun or in the shade. He makes them so delightful with trees and rocks and stone He scatters them with flowers so they don't look so all alone. He makes the lakes and rivers, to quench their thirsty souls, And lets us enjoy the beauty as we take our needed strolls So is it any wonder he walks right by our side, And fills our hearts with gladness that we can never hide. He floats the clouds above us from whence we get our rain, He nurtures his earthly gardens that we may do the same, He gives them food and water just as he does for us, It's all done so silently there is never any fuss. He fills the day with sunshine,at night the moon and stars That we may gaze and wonder, Oh dear Lord, how great you are. So lift your hearts up to him and fill him with delight, That we love your gardens God, whether it be day or night. I thank you God for the works you've done, From the darkness into the rising sun, For the many ways you've helped me see The wonders and beauty that can only come from Thee By Marie Boyle August 2002
