I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Ypma, however having been a friend and colleague of Mike, I had the good fortune to hear many amazing stories. I could always feel the deep admiration Mike has for his dad whenever Jim was brought up in conversations. My heart goes out to you Mike. Your dad was your hero and you are fortunate to have been his son.

I would like to express my most heartfelt condolences to Lynne and family on the passing of one of the greatest guys I ever knew. Jim was my first boss at the Bay in Trail, BC. But he was more than a boss he was also a friend and mentor. I will never forget the great times we had at the various watering holes in Trail and on the golf course. He always had a smile and always had a way of making things better. Even though we lost touch in the last number of years I would often think about him and our good times. Farewell my friend.
