To the family of Alpha Butcher, our deepest condolences on the passing of our dear friend Alpha. My husband Pat and I used to live up the road from Jack and Alpha. They were great neighbours. Property was immaculate. Great people. The rest of the message was written be my brother Ed Dineen. My name is Ed Dineen. My sister is Marlene. She worked with Alpha for many years at the nursing home. We used to rent the farm around the corner and Jack and Alpha's big dog used to control the ground hogs for many years. They ended up on Jacks doorstep. Marlene and I visited Jack and Alpha many times and probably met most of the family and grand kids. I especially remember that tiny Lassie dog that could barely climb the spiral staircase. Jack and Alpha's home was always welcoming to Marlene and myself and their lives were a blessing to all who knew them.
