I was a colleague of Floyd for many years. He had a lot of energy and brought his infectious laugh everywhere he went.

I really appreciated Floyd as a wonderful manager who always had my back when I was a student. He was flamboyant, fun-loving and forgiving. I am glad that I got to have him as a key mentor when I was being shaped for my career.

I am saddened to learn of the death of Floyd Green. Floyd was a colleague of mine with the Toronto Institute for Pastoral Eduation beginning in 1971. My condolences to his family and frieds. I always enjoyed Floyd's cheerfulness, sense of humor, loyalty and candidness. He was dedicated to the spiritual care of people, with a lot of empathy, and a deep love for those who suffer. May God bless this good man with the gift of eternal life. I remember his loved ones in my prayers and will pray for him when I celebrate Eucharist on Sunday.

Dear Rev. Green and all Floyd's family, I had the honour and the privilege of knowing your dad at ACT II Studio, and working with him over several years in the production of No Big Deal? After first hearing his lovely, sonorous voice, I was not at all surprised to learn he’d been a minister! Floyd was always a wonderful person to work with, sweet, kind, and funny. The last time I saw him was last winter, when he came to one of the ACT II matinees, and I could hardly get close enough to greet him, he was so swamped with friends lining up to give him a hug. And I will always remember his kindness towards me when I was undergoing some medical problems in 2009. Floyd was a wonderful person. He will be missed. May all your memories of him be happy ones. Sincerely, Judy Malkin

There are only a handful of people that I would like to emulate, Floyd is one of them. From our days on Wellington Street in St. Thomas, the connection runs deep. Whether listening to the big laughs downstairs after we were sent to bed, or knowing that we were being watched over with prayers through tough times, Floyd always wore big shoes and he filled them. The world will be a better place if we all take our favourite qualities of Floyd and try to let those qualities live on through us. Peace & love, David.
