I was Blaine's dispatcher and my husband Tony was his buddy at work and outside of work. Whenever there was a big damage Blaine would be on the phone calling Tony to assist him. Those two worked and played so well together. We spent some good times together at our cottage. Tony and Blaine would go for the day and play around of golf and back home for a steak dinner. We were very fortunate to have him for our friend. He was always there for us when we needed him. He was the most generous and gentle person and we and like many more felt honoured to have him as our friend. We did get to say our final goodbye to him the night before his passing. Blaine we love you and we know that you are at peace and shining down on us. You are now our angel in heaven. We have a verse we would like to share with his family and friends. "God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best."
