Obituary of James Robert Fraser
“I’ve had a good life. Je ne regrette rein”
Jim passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre. Loving husband of Carol. Cherished father of Andrew (Casey) Fraser of Keswick and Helena Fraser of Markham. Beloved papa of William, Benjamin, and Owen. Dear brother of Don Fraser, Myrna Scott, Mona MacIntosh, and Jean Lucik. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Treasured son-in-law to Helene Fadler, and brother-in-law to George Fadler (Maria and family). His greatest loves were his children and grandchildren, and of course his gardens.
Jim will be remembered for his generous and appreciative heart, brilliant smile, patient spirit, and of course his opinions. Always putting people before material objects, he saw the beauty in all living creatures and cherished them.
A devoted teacher, he was happiest when he could share his knowledge with others.
A celebration of his life will be held at M.W. Becker Funeral Home, 490 The Queensways S., Keswick on Friday, August 28, from 2-4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. A service in his memory will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 129 Metro Road North, Keswick on Saturday, August 29 at 11:00 a.m. If desired, donations in memory of James Fraser may be made to CBC Radio c/o Friends of Canadian Broadcasting.
