Passed away on April 10, 2016 at his home on Lake Simcoe. Beloved husband of Nancy Godfrey (Parkinson) and adored father of Nicole McAuley (Godfrey) and son-in-law Tyler McAuley. Son of Margaret Godfrey and the late John Wellington Godfrey, brother to Ruth Snelling and Wayne. Dave was a retired Detective Sergeant with Toronto Police with 35 years of distinguished service. An avid outdoorsman, Dave loved to hunt, fish, play golf, and run with his daughter. He will be remembered by all those who knew him as a strong, charismatic man who spent his life taking care of those around him.
