Gord loved his family, golf, curling and spending time with friends. For 25 years, Gord was the proud owner of Boothby Meats in Keswick and also had 25 years service with the Mississauga Fire department. He was a counsellor for the Town of Georgina (Ward 3) for 9 years and served diligently as a Charter Member of the Kinsmen Club of Keswick. Gordon died peacefully, surrounded by his family at his home in Keswick on Saturday, April 30th, 2016 at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband of Patricia Boothby (nee Link) for 50 years and loving father of Michelle Fleming (Shelley Boyd) of Meaford, Kevin Boothby (Carla Weller) of Keswick and father-in-law of David Fleming. Cherished ‘Papa’ of Mackenzie, Emily, Hudson, Daniel and Hayden. Dear brother of Carol (Ron McCracken), Dave (Gloria), Alex (Joanne), Marion (Bruce Lamb), Susan (Mark Thompson) and the late Joan and Paul. Loving brother-in-law of Helen (late Merlyn Winch), Evelyn (Clark Gable), Shirley (Jack Staley), Joan (Jorn Norgaard), Donna (Jim Hopkins), Bill (Lily) and the late Sandra and Carole (Fred Dalton). Gord will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at the M.W. Becker Funeral Home 490 The Queensway South, Keswick, Ontario on Tuesday May 3rd, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday May 4th from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Cremation.
