Obituary of Amanda Lou Stronge
It is with profound sadness that we must announce the passing of Amanda Lou Stronge on Tuesday, July 19th, 2016. Amanda passed away at her home with her family by her side at the age of 39 years, following a brave battle with cancer. Born in Advocate, N.S. on November 7th, 1976, she was the daughter of Lewis Arnold and Holly Karon (Acorn) Stronge. Amanda was a hard worker, loved photography, listening to music, cooking and some sports. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her brother, two nieces, her family and friends. Amanda will be lovingly remembered by her Mom and Dad, Holly (Acorn) and Lewis Stronge; her brother, Darcy (Aimee) Stronge; her two nieces, Addison Leigh and Cadence Emily; her maternal grandmother, Anita Acorn; her special Aunt, Leona Thompson; and her special friend, Jeremy Wheaton. Dearly loved by many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, John Acorn and by her paternal grandparents, Marion and William Wood. A Celebration of Life will take place at the M.W. Becker Funeral Home, 490 The Queensway South, Keswick on July 28th, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Pastor Michael Darrach officiating at 2:00 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Hospital for Sick Kids would be appreciated by the family.
