John was my friend. We met at Gathering Place- a community meal in Keswick every Thursday- many years ago where he welcomed me into his group of friends. It didn't take long to learn how intelligent, talented and kind John was- even though he was the quietest one of the group for sure! John was almost famous in Keswick- as he rode his bike all over town in any kind of weather, just so he could shop and be around people. Anyone who stopped to talk to John could instantly tell he was a great person. He was always helping others, even when he needed help himself. John was a bright light no matter the circumstances and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him....Susan Hamelin
