Uncle Rick was a big kid and just a fun guy - he was the fun uncle! I remember him always having a joke or something funny to say or do for any situation. A funny memory I have about him was the time he put a grape in his belly button when we went on a hike. He didn’t end up eating it but he had it “just in case”. Even though he like to have fun he was also very smart and caring. He loved to play with us and we would see him and Aunt Chris pretty regularly during my childhood. He was definitely a problem solver and fixit guy. I used to love watching him and my dad work on things together.
You are loved and missed Uncle Rick.
Aunt Chris we love you and we are praying for peace, strength and comfort during this time. Hugs!
Love - Preston, Jenny, Madison, Avery, William and Daniel Howard

Uncle Rick was a wonderful man who brought joy to everyone who knew him. Growing up I loved seeing Uncle Rick and Aunt Christine because Uncle Rick was a "big kid" who loved to play and make us laugh. There are so many funny stories from his silly antics and he could always make me smile. I'm blessed for having him as my godfather and as part of my life. He will be missed but not forgotten.
Aunt Christine we are so sorry for your loss. We love you and are here for you.

We lost a dear friend, true Canadian, compassionate, relentless in providing the right solution to any problem we faced at work in the last 15 years, extremely smart and never tired of sharing his vast knowledge and experience with the people around him.
We are sad we lost this battle, but we will cherish our memories of Rick.
Our deepest condolences, Chris and family.

Dear Christine I am so sorry for your loss I guess you I could say it will get better with time but we both know the next years are going to be very hard for you .Please know that Ron and I are only a phone all away and will always be there. You are the sister of my heart. Through the years you and Rick have been there every step of my family's life You have been with us through Easter egg fights and births and weddings.Ron could always call on your knowledge when he had a computer issue . He could call and you came to help him do security system in our home or electrical issues. Rick and Chris too you have seen our family grow and prosper. We are going to miss you Rick, we know now your pain is gone and that is a blessing. There will not be a time that we will not stop keeping you in mind and your truly generous spirit.
