Ed, Ted, teddy, Eduardo….
Thanks for always tolerating and laughing at my my nicknames for you and joining in on All of my silly antics…. You truly accepted me for me. You help me get my first car and my first apartment. We had a very special relationship… I’ll aways remember our many heart to heart chats about life….
I’m going to miss the way we would joke around and argue over who gets the last Yorkshire pudding……
You were a great stepfather…. Loving me as if I were your own and always there for me if I needed you
Thank you for being a great Papa to Kylie and Adam.
I’m going to miss you ❤️…. Love you Ed xo

Pauline, we are truly sorry for the loss of Ed. We have been thinking of you and your family often. We will forever remember Ed as a great, giving neighbour. He was always willing to lend a hand and help us with any task we couldn’t figure out. Katie and Sarah said they will always remember him around a bonfire giving his advice on how to make the best hotdog over an open flame! We will forever miss you Ed❤️ R.I.P Mayor of Shady Lane.

Ed (Papa) was a loved stepdad, Papa and a good, kind and gentle man. He was humble, down to earth and hardworking. We could always engage in a good discussion even if we had different points of view. He loved to watch old shows and movies and was often out in the garage building, repairing something or out driving.
Ed was the strongest person I have ever met. The last number of years, but particularly in the last year, he endured more than anyone I have ever known and he fought the hardest fight with our mom right by his side. It was a testament of true love and devotion.
I loved the way he always picked the most beautiful, special card for mom at each occasion, and whether in person or written in a card, there would be an “I love you darlin.”
Ed has been part of our lives for almost twenty-five years. So many of my friends are shocked when I tell them about how our family spent all special holidays together with both my mom and Ed and my dad and his wife Margaret included. It was so nice that they all genuinely got along and it was because of Ed’s (and Margaret’s) easygoing nature that we were all able to be together in this way as it is not typical of divorced families. I can’t express how much that has meant to me over the years to be able to make memories together as one big family.
I will never forget Ed’s excitement about buying a riding toy tractor for Gavin just like his real one for Christmas. We kept it long after Gavin and Ryan outgrew it because it was such a touching gift. The gift meant so much to him, to us and Gavin loved it!
We will miss you so much Ed (Papa).
Time to rest easy. We love you xoxo
Love,
Lisa, Mark, Gavin and Ryan

To the family
Our deepest condolences to you all at this very difficult time.
To Pauline
No one could have cared for Ed better than you did. You were with him each step of the way during his long battle. Take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. Remember the good times and the many happy memories made together.
Love from your brothers and sisters
Phil, Keith, Judy, Grace and Vickie and families
