My heartfelt condolences to you Chris and your family on the learning of my friend Patrick’s passing.
Pat and I became friends during our Ryerson years, and we ended up as roommates with many great and unusual memories stemming from those years.
Memories from our favorite hangout, “The Hayloft”, after a night of drinking beer and singing along with the piano player, getting on the subway and not remembering how we got back to our flat.
Memories of pulling several all-nighters in a row to complete our Architectural projects.
Memories of our weekend night job at the Toronto waterfront unloading trucks in the freezing cold wind to earn some extra spending money.
Memories of hitchhiking to work one night when the driver ran a redlight and we ended up in the hospital to get checked out. We were both fine.
Memories of being arrested at a Fraternity party overnight just for being at the party.
Memories of us working at the CNE in charge of the janitorial company crews and getting to see a free Guess Who concert.
Memories of your Mom and Dad when they started dating and it was a great honor when he asked me to be his best man at their wedding.
I regret not staying in touch often with your Dad and especially after our move to Florida became even less, but he did send me a photo of you Chris when you became a police officer and he was so proud of his son. I hope to meet you and your wife and daughter someday in person.
My memory is sketchy of the times I saw you in person, the first is when you were one or two years old when Pat and Paula lived near Collingwood, and then when you were a little older and your Mom and Dad came to visit in Florida in the mid 80’s or so.
I’m very saddened at your Dad’s passing and I will never forget him or your Mom Paula. They were good people.

If you have memories of Patrick it means that he touched you in some way and you have taken a little part of who he is, with you. It means that he had some impact on you as a person.
It means that now that he has gone you will still recall his face, still hear his voice. You can still speak to him in your heart. As time passes you will continue to conjure up forgotten memories you have made with him. That's just the kind of person Patrick was.
Pat you have touched so many more lives than you even realized. Your kindness and generosity was shown to all manner of people, some you knew, some only in passing. Your footsteps in this life had purpose and meaning and you left everyone you knew richer for having known you.
Our family is grieving with yours. You have left an empty chair at our table, and a hole in our hearts that no one can fill. Summers will never be quite the same without you. Our camping trips were many, the beers around the fire countless, the fishing escapades, the many beaches, hilarious card games on rainy days. There was always a laugh to be shared. Unfortunately you were robbed of your favorite pastime this year. We miss you. Thank you for all the great times, thank you for all your endless help over the years, for all the love you've shared.
Until we meet again, sleep peacefully dear friend.
With love ❤️

I'm so saddened to hear of Patrick's passing. He was one of my0 most favorite customer's when I worked at the bank. Always a smile on his face and a great joke to tell. I introduced Patrick to my husband when our computer went on the blitz and he was our always computer guru to go to. Many times we'd visit him and he would be puttering away with a computer or laptop so he could donate to the school or a child in need. Big heart he had and enjoyed his many stories. We kept in touch over the last 4years on Facebook since we moved away from York Region, which was nice and to see all the lovely photos of his beautiful granddaughter. Rest in Peace Patrick , you're now reunited with your beloved Paula.
Our deepest condolences to Chris and all the family and friends. Will always be remembered.
Carm & Tim Enright.

Please accept our deepest condolences Chris, Charlotte and Rayna, Patrick will be remembered as part of the family and a good friend, whether it was camping with Maureen and Court, their families and us or sitting around the dinning table for large family dinners or quiet get together's in the backyard around a fire with a good glass of wine, Patrick's stories will be missed, we loved hearing of the old days in Unionville. Patrick certainly was a special man with all his dedication and time given to helping others.
Rest in Peace Patrick you will be missed by many. Kim and Rob Underhill and family
