Obituary of Mary Martin Briggs

Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the age of 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Floyd Ashley (1954) and John Briggs (1998). Dear mother of Margaret Burns (late Freeman King) of Newmarket, Alan Ashley (Joan), Reed Ashley (Charlene), Susan Edney (Scott) all of Keswick, Ryan Ashley (Angela) of Norland, and Jack Briggs (Chris) of Haliburton. Cherished Grandmother of Erin (Chris), Elizabeth (Craig), Sara (DJ), Amanda (Greg), Jason, Beverly (Darcy), Heather (Tyler), Alan (Chrissy), John (Samantha), Jennifer, and the late Chad Ashley. Great Grandmother of Brittany, Chad, Alexis, Savana, Damien, Connor, Scarlett, Emma, Cheyanne and Charlie. Dear sister of the late Sandy Kerr, John Ritchie, Agnes Walduck (Huck), and Jim Ritchie (Mary). Devoted Aunt of Kathy Walduck and Ken Ritchie. Special thanks to nurses, doctors, staff and volunteers on the Cardiac Unit at Southlake Regional Health Centre for all of their wonderful care and support. The family will receive friends at the M.W. Becker Funeral Home, Keswick, Ontario on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 12 noon.
