I can’t even put into words how i feel, you are and have always been the strongest person I know! Thinking back at my childhood at the lake or even just being with you I smile and laugh at how silly us kids were, we called you boss nan because no one could tell you it was always your way or no ones way, your my superhero and now my guardian angel, I love you forever and always <3

Words can't express how much you meant to me. You were the sweetest, kindness person I know. And you always took Dave's and my side when our moms were picking on us. I would give so much just to have another back yard BBQ with you there, they were always the best memories I had as a kid and in the past couple years. I'm really going to miss you Boss Nan. Love you <3 give Nanny, Papa, my dad, and Uncle Dave a hug for me.

Well words cannot express my disbelief that my Aunt Ivy is gone. I have so many memories of my Aunt from playing with lego when I was a little girl to the last minute breakfast trips to Buffalo with Dave and Lita with Tabi and David. The endless stories her and my Dad would tell as they were almost inseparable. Oh and the stories about her pushing Dad into a beehive cause she was mad at him. That story was always told. Christopher and Kauleen even called her Boss Nan. Aunt Ivy always loved my kids like they were her grandkids. They have so many memories of their boss Nan.If we weren't with her then Dave and Lita would always be at the cottage with her. We were always together. The bingo nights followed by pizza and a bonfire were always my favorites. We were always traveling somewhere with Aunt Ivy and Dave and Lita...Those were the best times with family. Aunt Ivy you will be so missed by many. Give Mom and Dad and Dave a hug for me. You are no longer in pain or suffering. Your with family now..Love you forever and always...

Aunt Lynn, Bertha, and Rob, I cannot imagine what you are feeling right now. I only met her a few times, but I remember thinking she was a true matriarch - the strong foundation for the many generations in your family. Aunt Lynn, over the years you told me so many stories about her; some that made me laugh out loud because of her feistiness, and others that had me shaking my head in admiration over her resilience and grit. Especially the way she looked after your brother Dave when he had cancer; it couldn't have been easy, but she did what she always did - put her family first.
After a lifetime of being strong, it was her turn to be looked after and the three of you took such wonderful care of your Mom these last months. She was so lucky to have you. I'm so glad you got this time to laugh with her; to show her that the love she gave took root in all the generations she touched - for her to know she is adored and that how she lived her life MATTERED.
In this case, I think this quote rings true: “A mom’s hug lasts long after she lets go.” – Author Unknown
Heartfelt condolences - all of us who care about you share your grief.
