I remember Kitty so well at Eglinton St. George's as one of her ministers - through her singing in the choir, and quietly helping with pastoral care concerns. She was always a cheerful and willing helper to collate or do admin chores or help at an event. She lived her faith and was a loyal, devoted member.

My dear sister, Kitty, was a great inspiration to me in how she handled her overcoming of polio at a very young age. We had many conversations as to how it felt and how she would deal with it. She didn't let this stop her from being very involved with the Girl Guides and Cadets. She became the head of the waterfronts at any Girl Guide camps she attended, and was quite active in making sure that every girl was considered part of her life!
As Kitty grew older, she became part of the St. Georges United Church in Toronto in their choir - a very important part of her life--she loved it! Also, she was part of the forming of the the Toronto Classical Singers, a wonderful addition to her interests.
Later in Kitty's life, she was stricken with the dreaded Alzheimer's disease, and her activities had to be curtailed. It was at this time that her childhood friend, Liz Warner's (nee Dennison) daughter, Heather Dawn Johnson became very involved in making sure that Kitty's care was paramount and advocated for her in making sure that Kitty could live in a more controlled environment more comfortably. My heartfelt thanks to Heather and her family for taking on the (sometimes!) onerous care of Kitty, right up to Kitty's passing.
I will always remember Kitty as one of my most favourite and kind souls that I have had the privilege of knowing and loving.
Sleep well now, Kit! You deserve to be blessed by our Father in Heaven. I will see you eventually and will always be in my heart.

Kitty was a good friend and leader. I was in her sr branches unit and my mom Shirley and Kitty were 7th Toronto cadet alumni. She will be missed!

The only photos are in my memory. I know/knew Kitty as a Guider and Trainer. A happy interesting person. One who was careful with the details and willing to explore possibilities.

being the new-found 'lost' sister I only met Kitty for the first time in February 2014, just 10 days after I made first contact. She was so welcoming me back into the family and made me feel so wanted. I'll never forget her for that. Love you Kitty, and am only sorry that I didn't search out my birth family sooner........we could have made some great memories together.
