Your love and laughter will never be forgotten. I see it often in my fiery-red-headed daughter, Shaye Ruby Jean Smith. We were lucky to have your in our lives and your joyousness will live on through us.
“How many girlfriends do you have?” is the most flattering and embarrassing thing your grandma can say as she’s opening the door to a bunch of your friends.
You are deeply missed, granny. I will keep the good times rolling in your honour.

Mom....what can I say. You were my rock. If I was happy about something I had to call you just to hear your joy. If I was sad you were the first person I called for comfort. You could always hear it in my voice even in your final days I miss you. Your grandkids miss you. You were the happiest person I knew and everyone loved you. You could liven up the dullest party and make everyone laugh. You cared about everyone and taught me to respect and love all animals.
I’m thankful you had Denise, Ken and dad to take care of you. You were so fortunate to have had such a wonderful life with dad. He will miss you terribly. Who will laugh at all his jokes now? I too will miss seeing you and dad dancing while dad sings in your ear. So many happy memories. Thank you mom for being you. I love you.

Mom,
You were always deeply loved
You were laughter
You were love
You had a great life
You had so much respect for other people and all the kids and animals that really needed you.
You were always there for all of us when we needed you.
Dad misses you but knows that you are in a better place. You were bigger than life itself.
The wild cat (Rosetta) that you befriended misses you and she sits in front of your chair waiting for you....so now she bosses me around.
You were great with your children and all of your grandkids.
You are so missed.
Normally, if we were out somewhere and I couldn't find you, I would just stop and listen for your laughter and follow the sound of the joy. Sure enough you would be entertaining everyone. They would be all laughing with you.
I will also miss seeing you and Dad dancing together.
Lots of Love always
Denise,(Ken and Dex)

Ruby came into my life just over twenty years ago and her joy, laughter, sense of humor, and kindness always kept any room she was in aglow. You will be missed.

Ruby was three years older than me and she always had my back. She was good to me. When I was sixteen she bought me my first birthstone ring. She knew I liked Dinah Washington, she bought me the album. When we were married we lived around the corner from each other and once a week we would pack our kids up and go to Woolworths for hot dogs chips and ice cream. The kids still remember it. Ruby was the life of the party. If you wanted to talk you had to put your hand up. Ruby, I am going to miss you and thank you for being a wonderful big sister. I love you. Till we meet again. Denise I would like to thank you for being there for my Sister. Thankyou.
I love you and I will miss you. Your sister, Helen and Gord

Oh Ruby, you lit up the room every-time I walked in. You always made me feel like I was the most important person and we laughed all of time. You are always in my thoughts, and I’ll miss that sweet laugh of yours! My condolences to the entire family.

My sincere condolences to the family.
I remember Ruby as a fun-loving happy person always ready for a good time and a laugh. She was a loving mother to her children and a devoted wife to Bob.

Ruby My Loving Sister
Ruby was a wonderful sister, there was not a time that I can remember that I did not have a good laugh with her. I have a few fond memories of her that I would like to share...
Ruby and Bob had five children a myriad pets and a loving marriage for over 70 years...
One memory I have is when we visited Ruby & Bob's home, the car would pull up into their drive way and you knew you were at the right home because the noise coming from the house was quite noticeable. As you entered the house, controlled chaos was upon you.
The kids were excited, some were yelling, others laughing and some crying. The dogs were jumping, barking and the cats were scurrying all the while Ruby and Bob were cool calm and collected. I loved this hectic atmosphere and I still think Ruby and Bob wore ear plugs...
Ruby was a true nature lover from rescuing injured birds, adopting stray cats, dogs were just like humans to Ruby, overseeing litters of puppies and much more that I imagine I don't know about...
As I had mentioned earlier Ruby was a wonderful sister, a person that will be missed greatly...
As Ruby entered Heaven, I imagine God said to his Angels " Oh we have a real fire cracker here, she is going to liven this place up"
Love You Ruby
