My Uncle Marshall was such a gift to this world. His amazing stories and experiences were always followed by his amazing laugh. I am so happy I got to hear it one last time. He always made me feel special, and the summer I spent in Hong Kong was the best time of my young life. Always so thoughtful, he made sure to give us a beautiful set of Korean wedding ducks for our wedding gift- and of course, in true Uncle Marshall fashion, they came with a story! I am so happy that him and Auntie Eileen always invited us into their home and my husband got to see the lake that Uncle Marshall loved so much. Not only was Uncle Marshall one of my favourite people in the world, but seeing how he was such a good friend and cousin to my father through the years made me love him even more. My father always looked forward to their frequent phonecalls, and everytime dad would return from his summer trips to Ontario, he was excited to plan the next one. When Uncle Marshall passed, my father was sick in hospital, and asked about his cousin and best friend every day. As my father also recently passed, I know that they are now both sitting by the lake with their favorite people, probably sneaking away to tell each other those same stories they both enjoyed so much. There's not a day that goes by when I don't think about my precious uncle, and he is with me especially when I travel. Your niece, Sarah

A friend is someone you turn to in times of trouble. Marshall and Eileen saved me in September 2001 after I was trapped in Montreal and the week I spent with them is still one of my fondest memories. Endlessly funny, always loving, a great smile across his face. Brought the house down at my wedding when he encouraged my long-winded best man to “Get on with it!!!” I’ve known him for 30 years off and on, and sadly I will now miss him as a good man, a good friend. My sincere condolonces to your family upon the loss of Marshall. I worked with him for many years at DHL in Hong Kong. Loved his big sense of humour and his even bigger sense of adventure. We were in touch until quite recently and I was very saddened to hear of his passing. RIP Marshall, we will miss you!

Marshall and Roger Griffin - my late first husband- were childhood friends. I remember Roger telling tales of swmming in the river at the cottage in Severn River. They enjoyed many summers together. May you both meet to tell tall tales again. I had the privilege of meeting Marshall only once at his home in Keswick. He was a kind and gentle man with a keen sense of humor. My regards to his family and friends.

Condolences to Marshall’s family. I worked with Marshall at DHL in Hong Kong in the 90s and remember those times with great fondness. He was great fun to work with and an easy person to get along with. Very open and friendly. He always saw the best in people and had a great sense of humor. We kept in touch long after our working lives separated. He will be missed.

We shall always remember Marshall for his enjoying the most out of life.
Working along side of Marshall at the DHL Far East Regional Office in the 90's was a such an enjoyable experience. We could always expect something special from Marshall and the Finance Team during our annual conferences. Although always a little "Off the Wall". they always reflected the generous heart that Marshall possessed.
How many other CFO's would drive-in an antique sports car parade, go to Macau for antique shopping and then to Middle Island for a BBQ lunch all on the same weekend? A true friend and colleague.
Our prayers and thoughts are with Eileen and Faye-Faye.

I had the pleasure of working with Marshall in the 90's for DHL in Hong Kong, Many fond memories of evenings in the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and a very memorable conference in Bejing where the "flaming Sambuca" became a part of folklore. RIP my friend and thoughts and prayers to Eileen and the family

Such sad news, a lovely man, great sense of humour, rarely got angry unless someone mentioned Trudeau. We worked together for DHL back in the 80's, first when he was in Canada and then Hong Kong. I have fond memories of visiting him in Hong Kong. This photo is one he sent me a few years back of the two of us having a beer in the UK (Hampton Wick I think?). We sometimes spoke about meeting up again, maybe during one of the fabulous canadian summers and doing some fishing in the nearby lakes in one of his boats (another love along with all his family). I will miss our regular Facebook exchanges and his photos and comments. RIP Marshall, old friend.

My condolences to Marshal's familyand friends on his sad passing....I had the privilege of working with him for several years when I employed him as CFO way back in the 90's based out of Hong Kong.
Lots of 'adventures' together but the most amusing one was during our trip to North Korea in 1996 that I tell to this day..
3 of us visited and the only way to get into North korea was through their emnassy in Beijing where we had to go to secure a visa.
Me... USD 50 for the visa ( probably cos i was British O)
PaullChan USD 150 ( probably cos he was Hong Kong Chinese )
Marshall.... ZERO cost .. they though Marshall was his designation like their Great Leader not his name! Not Marshall Pyatt but MARSHALL Pyatt!
I will omit the time we had dinner togther when the flaming Sambuca liqueur set fire to his tie!!!
RIP Marshall and thank you for the fond memories.

My great uncle, I remember him always driving the boat to the cottage. I thought it was amazing that he remembered the way to get to the island. He wouldn't let us fall when we hopped out on the dock. All the rocking would freak me out, but he was never mean. I'll miss you Uncle Marsh. Thanks for letting us kids run wild at the cottage, and not get eaten by snapping turtles.

Marshall was very special to me. We spent most of our time together walking; During those walks, he would regale me with stories of his wild lifelong adventures. He was overflowing with intelligence, advice, and endless entertainment. We would laugh, trade memories and sometimes even sing. Though I came to love his family, who were all as unique and wonderful as he was, (and he was never shy about saying so himself, haha) Marshall will always hold a special place in my heart. May God bless you all and give you the strength you need, to deal with his passing on to the next great adventure...You were one of a kind my friend, and I will miss you until we meet again. Love, Risa 8) p.s. never stop smiling!

Thank you Uncle Marsh for providing me with great memories of my visits to the cottage on the Severn though out the years. Learning how to drive a boat and paddle a canoe and visiting the locks. Playing games and cards and fishing.
You gave me my first trip on a big plane going to Hong Kong. An experience I will never forget. I appreciate it.
Say hi to Mom.
