Lisa and kids: We met a lovely couple running the marina many years ago when they were new in town . Both always so helpful, positive and hard working. Proud of their kids. Darryl was so easy going ,laid back, smiling , approachable and helpful. We have nice fond memories of him. We are so deeply sadden for your loss. Rita and Chris.

I had the pleasure of meeting Darrel (Stu) a few years back when I needed some serious work done at my home. He did what nobody else could do, working knee-deep in mud, raising my large wooden shed and replacing the rotted floor underneath, extending my deck right under the shed - it now sits 3' higher and is sitting on the biggest, best deck in town. At one point Stu said "I'm not sure if I can do it - but the good news is I'm stubborn as hell"... and he did get it done. I hope his family and friends know how much he and his work were appreciated by me and my family. Rest in Peace, Darrel. You will be missed.

July 2007.
Dear dear Lisa and your family. Darrel was our special favourite. He created our amazing design with so much thought. He did the house with care. Darrel was here to put the first hole in our wall for fun. And was here for the final toppings. Every beautiful angle was Darrel’s design. We cherish this house to this day.
He is and will be special to us always.
Blessings.
Corinne and Steve

It will be impossible to forget a friend when everywhere I go I see something you built. Decks, docks, renovations and most of all memories. I’ve reminisced about the thousands of good times we have had! I’ve laughed about your antics (A-rata-tat-ta) and I cried thinking your gone. You were a true friend Stu, I miss you pal!
Until we meet again, build us a deck in heaven so we can sit and laugh again!
Cheers my friend!

Our condolences to Lisa, Ashley and Cole and to all of Darrel's many friends. He was a good neighbor and always willing to lend a hand or give advise. He was a man of many talents and he was always working on something in his shop. Darrel, Mark and I crashed a party one street over together! Darrel asked me how can we just show up (we wanted to see the band that was playing) I said watch me and asked the person at the gate where 'Dave' was. Darrel was flabbergasted and got a great chuckle out of it!
