Obituary of Frida Giglio

The family sadly announces the passing of Frida at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket on Friday, July 16 2021, peacefully at the age of 97.  Born in Senglea Malta on August 6 1923, where she lived and met her future husband Edmond at a dance. Frida loved to dance, play tennis, football (soccer) and swim.  They immigrated to Canada in 1951 and raised their five boys in Scarborough until they moved to Keswick some 55 years later. Frida was well liked by everyone, always enjoyed being with family and friends, always making jokes and having fun. Wife of the late Edmond Giglio (2010). Predeceased by her son Ronald and his surviving wife Ann of Brampton. Loving mother of Patrick (Laura-Lee) of Pembroke, Joseph (Linda) of Keswick, Raymond (Cheryl) of Pickering, and Edmond Jr. (Kellee) of Keswick. Cherished grandmother of Michael (Debbie), Aimee, Tyler, Victoria, Cameron, Luke, Adam (Cassandra), Katie and great-grandmother of Mitchell, Nicola and Quinton. Dear sister of the late Joseph, Walter, Lidia and Yvonne. The family will receive friends at the M.W. Becker Funeral Home, 490 The Queensway south, Keswick,Ontario (respecting COVID protocols, disinfecting hands, social distancing, wearing masks and tracking), on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 9:30 to 11a.m., followed by Private family Prayers in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment Queensville Cemetery.
