Very sad to hear of Ron’s passing. We were friends in high school and although we lost touch after our twenties Ron was an unforgettable person. He had a wicked sense of humour and was always fun to be around. We shared many great memories of get togethers for camping trips, music festivals and parties. Ron made an impression on everyone he met and he will be sadly missed. My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Ron.

Ronald was a great older brother, although we lost touch years ago i thought of you often and was lucky to reconnect with you a few years ago for a short time to have a few laughs. I will always remember our family fishing trips with you and especially all the fishing trips you and i took together back when we would just pack up and go for a day or a weekend you were always a lot fun. You will always be my brother. Rest in peace.

It is with a heavy heart I write this memory of Ron, upon the news of his passing. I knew Ron throughout our high school years and like many, lost track over the time that followed. He was one of those individuals you simply enjoyed being around. Never a dull moment and always a good laugh. I know he will be truly missed. My sincere condolences to his family. God bless!

I was saddened to hear of Ron's passing.Although I had lost touch with him over the years, I remember him well in our high school days together in Newmarket, and in our early 20's hanging out and playing ball hockey together. Ron had a razor-sharp wit and there was never a dull moment when he was around. My condolences to his family, friends, co-workers and neighbours for their loss. Rest In Peace, Nord.

We were very sad to hear the news of Ron's passing. Ron & I worked together on many construction projects with the same company many years ago. He was a very hard worker & a great carpenter. We also spent lots of time together fishing & I always enjoyed his sense of humour, & I spent a lot of time trying to figure what practical joke he would come up with next. Friends & family were never safe when we were together. Our thoughts & prayers go out to Cynthia & her family at this difficult time.
Lots of Love from our family. Uncle Vince, Aunt Cathy, Cousins: Marc Nord (Georgia, Jack & Sami) Elizabeth Nord,
Stephanie Nord (Ristic), (Marko, Lilliana & Max.)

When I think of my uncle Nord, I think of magic. My brother and I were always fascinated by his new tricks everytime we saw him and were quite frankly a little freaked out that he could levitate in thin air. Uncle Nord had a kind heart for all things wild, and he is the only person I know that fed rabbits nutrigrain bars.... He enjoyed setting up his trail cameras and was always excited to share the various wildlife he captured on camera. My uncle never failed to let my brother and I know how proud he was to be our uncle and I’m really sorry that I never had the chance to tell you that I’m so proud to have been your niece.
Love April

You were my mentor, my teacher, my inspiration but mostly you are my friend, with your patience and knowledge you made me a much better Carpenter. I will miss our jokes the pictures of bug around your yard, your smirk when I did something stupid, but mostly I will miss my friend. Rest In Peace
To Cindy and all of Ron’s family my deepest sympathy to your loss.

When Nord set his mind on a project, he did it with determination and perfection. He was very talented in photography, cooking, carpentry, gardening and many more activities. He was generous in his time with helping others. Nord loved and respected nature. He was a proud uncle and spoke highly of April and Devin. He was well versed in many subjects. Nord could hold a bird conversation with April and turn around and discuss politics with Devin. Never a dull moment went by in Nords presence. He was quick witted and always had a funny response. Nord will always hold a special place in all of our hearts.
Love Donna and Mike DeJong

Uncle Nord, you will always be an integral part of the de Jong family, your humour and helpfulness were priceless. Recalling the cake baking and "garwic" mispronouncing story from the birthdays way back brings a humble memory.
Thank you greatly for continuously encouraging both April and I to pursue our academics and life dreams. Your passions in UAVs (drones), fishing, wildlife, carpentry, cooking, and so many others, showed just how active and involved you had become over the years. There's no better word than "mentor" to describe you Uncle Nord.
Enjoy your time in the unknown, I'm sure you're off finding answers to the unanswerables.
Love Devin.

Cindy - my thoughts are with you during this very difficult time. Ron was such a constant and steady part of Dave's life. I would regularly hear Dave texting with Ron - sharing a laugh. He will be dearly missed - and while he is no longer here in body - his spirit will live on forever. xo
