Obituary of Marlene Elizabeth Smith

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marlene Smith of Keswick, formerly of Thornhill announce her passing on April 4th, 2021 at Mackenzie Health Centre, Richmond Hill at the age of 71 years. Beloved daughter of the late Edward and Lillian Smith (nee Rathwell). Cherished sister of Patricia (late Wally Witkowski), Michael, Rose, Mary (late Michael Dawson), Jayne, and David (Debbie).  Cherished Aunt of Rick, Katharine, Sandra, Karrie, Emma, Laura, Kimberly, Ryan, Colin, Ashley, Kirsten, Tori, Sierra, and Aimee. Loving “Great-Auntie” of Bailey, Riley, Colton, Spencer, Reid, Ella, Evan, Violet, Kenzington, Hudson, Sofia, Winter, Kira, Gavin, Bentley, Grayson, and Evelyn. Auntie Marlene was dedicated to her nieces and nephews who share fond memories of her handsewn Halloween costumes, Christmas stockings, as well as her continued support and encouragement throughout their lives. She will be remembered for her selfless behaviour, positive spirit, intelligence, and kind heart. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family, watching crime stories and baking shows, doing arts and crafts, and playing bingo. We believe that Auntie Marlene has been happily greeted in Heaven by her father, mother, and brother-in-law Michael. Auntie Marlene will be truly missed by her many friends and family. Arrangements entrusted to the M.W. Becker Funeral Home, Keswick.
