So many wonderful memories of this hard working and caring man. I will forever remember feeling as part of his family for most of my life. Many times throughout my life Bob and Terry took me into their home. Those times are dear to me as I remember their household being a calm and peaceful environment. Dinner time was always together with only the events of the day being shared. Bob would often tease and joke and never called me by anything but Tamantha. I have great respect for Bob and all he did for his family and for being one of those people in my life that their influence will forever be part of me. Please accept my sincere condolences Terry, Blair and family.

To Terry, Blair, Sherry-Lee, Caitlyn, and Genevieve, we extend our most sincere sympathies.
Dear Terry, I can remember when you and Bob moved into Orchard Beach Gardens back in the early 1970s, followed shortly by the birth of your son Blair. So many happy memories as your neighbours (with my mum Jackie, and my dad Paul) in this special part of the world known as "Orchard Beach Gardens" with some of the nicest neighbours one could ever ask for.
The Gardens will always be a place where so many happy memories are created for so many families.
There were always dogs and children, and Bob Caldwell could always be seen walking down the road with his pipe.
He always had time to say hello, and always took time to help his neighbours. We are always grateful for the kindness he showed my dad, and showed Fern. in their later years (jokingly reminding me that he was younger than both of them).
Our memories of Bob and Terry and "young Blair" date back to a time when we were among the very few families that lived "year round" at The Gardens - in other words, through the winter,. This meant after the Labour Day Corn Roast, when most of the cottages were closed up for the season, we stayed to enjoy winter skating, hockey, snowmobiling, and ice fishing (a time before cable TV). In those days, the season started with the Pot Luck at The Wilsons' cottage, and ended with the Corn Roast (cooking the corn over an open firepit in the park on the Bowling Green side). On most summer nights, there would be a Cribbage game at one cottage, or a Euchre game at another. The summer sounds at Orchard Beach Gardens in those days included crickets, mosquitoes, and laughter. The winter included snow, snow, and more snow.
Our last visit with Terry and Bob was such a nice time of reflection on those simpler times, with the Garden Gates at the Metro Road and Lake Drive entrances. We had no idea COVID was around the corner and would restrict our visits.
While time may move on, our memories will remain strong, and the calming effect of the lake will always remind us of how precious life is.
As Bob will remain in spirit at the Orchard Beach Gardens, we reflect back on a life well lived.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you,
Andrea and Fred Smith

Bob is one of my Fondest memories of my time in Keswick. Form walking Jag and friend to all of the dogs, to engaging in conversation with everyone he would bump into.
One of his favorite greetings when asked " How was he doing?" His response was " i am good, it is the rest of the world!"
I loved his off the cuff comments like when he lovingly called the ladies a Hagasaurus in a tongue and cheek type of way or when i would say I was working and he would laugh and say " you mean hardly working!" there are so many ways that he made me laugh but also no matter his joking and rough exterior he was a man that I can honestly say had one of the Kindest Hearts that I have ever seen!
Every occasion Bob would always have a gift or treats for my dog and kids. Always thinking about making other people happy!
He would look after not only the dogs but would visit and help the elderly or basically anyone in our community that needed a hand. Also, volunteering to help with the Orchard Beach Gardens Association which he was involved in for 50 years.
Bob was a mainstay in the community and my life in Keswick. Bob was a dear friend and will be dearly missed!
Our condolences go out to Terry, Blair and his lovely Granddaughters
Love from Tim, Carla, Jaidon and Sami
