My deepest condolences to Bob's family, praying for comfort during this difficult time. I had the pleasure of working with Bob from 2007- 2012, we had
many laughs, great memories. Bob offered words of wisdom to us 'kids' as he would call us. I am grateful our paths crossed. May your soul rest in peace Bob, I know you are in a better place smiling down on your family and loved ones.

Ginny, Jeff, Shane and family, with profound sadness I am writing to express my deepest condolences to all of you on Bob’s passing. I cannot comprehend the idea that he is no longer with us.
I knew Bob for over 30 years and had the pleasure of working with him at Scotiabank. In fact, Bob is the one who hired me at the bank in 1988 and since then we worked together throughout our career at the bank. I was very fortunate to have him as a colleague and as a friend. He gave me advice whenever I needed it and we shared our experiences and knowledge and became inseparable twins at work. There are so many stories and memories that I cannot forget. One of those he told us was an incident at his first job at a branch in the bank where he ran with an unloaded gun that was available at the branch in order to chase a robber who came to rob a cashier. He then got a call from the head office in downtown not to do that in the future as he may be putting his life at risk. He was a person who would not hesitate to tell anyone whether they are staff or not if they are doing anything wrong. This was true during contract negotiations or if he see any cars parked at the wrong parking spots in the parking lot during our lunchtime walk around the 2201 EE building. When negotiating contracts or deals with software vendors, he was tough but reasonable and that is how he maintained a good relationship with every vendor. He was dedicated to the job and was a very sincere person.
We became very close friends and our friendship continued even after both of us left the bank. He always said that he considered me as one of his family members and when he invited my wife and I for Jeff's wedding he treated us like his own family. Bob knew my children and always inquired about their well-being during conversations. We continued our friendship by calling each other often even after he moved to Cornwall. When he could not call due to his illness, he asked Ginny to call me to inform me of what was happening with him. During my call with him in January, he talked to me for a long time and mentioned that he wanted to get together in the summer when the COVID situation improves. At one point he told me, "Ragu, you are a good friend mine and you always have a place in my heart" which was extremely touching.
Bob, I will not forget you my good friend. I am sure you are in a good place now. Rest in peace.

I met Bob through his dear friend Mario Pungercar. I was the receptionist at the company where Mario worked. The two of them would get together either to play golf, play a game of pool or visit the casinos. We would chat on the phone when he called for Mario. I learned how much he loved his grandchildren, how he loved his wife. Skating together once a week. He had a quick wit and had me laughing every time. Such a kind kind person. My condolences to his wife and family.

My deepest condolences to all of Bob's family. It was a pleasure working for Bob (he hired me for my first full time job Scotiabank) and listening to his stories of what it was like to work at Scotiabank "back in the day". He always had stories to share and was always willing to help. You will be missed. Rest in peace.

So sad to hear of Bob's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Bob at Scotiabank and have fond memories. I most enjoyed spending our lunches at the office pool table and watching him clear the table rather quickly. Bob will be dearly missed. My deepest condolences to his family. May he rest in peace and his memory eternal.

I had the pleasure of working with Bob. He shared many funny stories and his laugh could be heard all throughout the office. He was quick to offer advice to ensure that we "had our ducks all lined up in a row " as he would say. He wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of. He was most proud of his family. He always commented how Ginny took good care of him, while enjoying his packed lunch that Ginny made him every day. The office always smelled delicious when Bob ate his lunch. I asked Bob for Ginny's recipe for hamburger soup and I make it til this day. He was so happy to become a Grandpa and proudly showed off the round crib he was making.
Praying that God brings comfort to all of you in the days ahead.

So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing....... a good friend and co-worker – fondly remembered.....
One memory – just prior to his becoming a grandfather for the first time – Bob came to me stressing over whether he should be at home or at the hospital and what to expect as a “grandpa” ... I don’t recall if I had one or two at the time but clearly recall telling him that he should be at the hospital if at all possible but that I would not tell him what to expect but did ask that he come to me after-the-f acta nd tell me what he discovered..
Let’s just say that Bob was “smiling” when he saw me afterwards and truly appreciated the experience. A true reflection of one who loved family.......
Blessings Bob,,,, and the entire Family.

With a very sad and heavy heart on hearing this news, I'm also reminded of all the wonderful memories I was fortunate enough to experience with Bob. Funny nick names and mid day field trips with the team to get ice cream on a hot summers day in an over crowded car where Bob held me up while I travelled in the trunk on a spare tire (because I was the tiniest) goodness we laughed......We bowled, we played golf and we talked about life, he taught me a lot. I'm fortunate to have known him. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones, whom we often chatted about and who I know he loved so very much. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Rest in peace dear Bobby.
