My heart goes out to his family and friends. I remember when I worked at McGradies and this 16yr old got on stage. We were blown away by his talent. We looked forward to him playing on a regular basis. His parents always in the front row. My heart breaks of his passing. May my favorite rocker RIP

I remember the first time I met Cory and heard him play. I realized a new great talent had now come on to the music scene. A very young talent that was now a force to be reckoned with. Cory became a songwriter and singer and had great musical dreams. His family and friends were so proud of his accomplishments in such a short span of time. The music community will never forget you Cory and will always remember the kid with the great smile and talent taken from us way too soon. My sincere condolences to the Manahan family and please know that Cory will always be with you and us always . May God be with you.

I can't believe you're gone. I miss you man. Hope you're rocking with Scott, Chris and Chester somewhere. I'm going to miss all the times we had and I will cherish them forever in my heart. From writing music together to playing beer pong all the time to hanging out watching old Jimmy Fallon videos and certain stand up comedy specials you liked or just listening to music. You were a genuine person who cared about people and I will never forget that. We were always laughing whenever we got together and you always cared about what I had going on in my life and I always appreciated that. My life is better because of our friendship. Love you buddy. Miss you.

To my loving brother on his 28th birthday. This is hard to write because words cannot begin to describe the deep internal love that my heart and soul possess for you, but I will do try my best.
INSPIRATION, the first word that comes to my heart. Your all or nothing approach to life at such a young age started with you dropping in on a quarter pipe and flying down Winnifred Drive on that skateboard at 10 years old. I couldn’t believe the balls on you bro, I had no choice but to follow your lead. 12-13 years old, becomes a guitar wizard overnight. Your day and night dedication had a simplistic formula but an execution not many can pull off.
Breaking into the Toronto bar scene at 13 playing with your teeth? One hell of an entrance bro! 2010 you dropped Manahan - Commence. Took it and ran.. ran all the way to the Phoenix center stage opening up for Lamb of Gob! Me lining up down the block to see my brother, if you only knew the discipline and work ethic you instilled in me by just simply living your life. The way you wanted to. I approach my life experiences and career with the same intensity as you lived each day with, simply put you’ve made me a better person.
How incredible, how lucky I am to have shared just shy of 28 years with you on this earth. I am internally grateful to you for giving me the strength to become the man that I am today. Music is life, remember you told me that one day bro?It’s all thanks to you that I get to escape for at least an hour a day with one of your very first acoustics getting lost in sounds and emotions. Rolling Stones - Loving Cup, okay you were right bro it is the best song of Exile! You have and always will have the biggest impact on my quality of life I live today, and in such a time of sadness the sheer fact I can see still feel thankful for so many things speaks volumes to the amazing human, son, brother, artist, and best friend you have always been to me and everyone around you. When I strum that guitar you strum that guitar, you will live on through me forever brother, continuing to INSPIRE me giving me the strength to be happy and healthy. I love you brother!!

It is with a most heavy heart that I write these words today;
Every once in a while, a great talent and beautiful person comes along to uplift and inspire us all, Cory Manahan was that person.
The first time I heard Cory play his guitar I knew he had a tremendous gift. As I got to know you over the years and work with you, I knew you were much more than just a great talent but a beautiful human being and someone I considered family. I am so proud of the work we did together and proud of what you went on to accomplish. The years we spent playing together will always be forever cherished in my memory. I am just so heartbroken you are gone my friend. You have touched so many lives in such a positive way and inspired many. Thank you for the wonderful music and memories.
You leave behind broken hearts that will never mend and a musical legacy that will keep the Manahan spirit alive.
My sincerest condolences to your Mom, your Dad and all of your Family who are mourning your loss. May you all find comfort in these words.
The Lord is near the broken hearted and saves those crushed in spirit Psalm 34:8
May the Lord bring your family peace, comfort, sustainment.
May God guide and walk beside all of you through your pain.
Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again.

Cory was a great friend. He was the type of friend that was genuine and always cared about what was going on in your life. He was one of a kind, no body was like him especially when it comes to his musical talent. I always admired his work and passion for music. He opened me up to a lot of music, which now will hold so much more meaning behind it. I will crank the tunes up for you man so you can hear it wherever you may be, in true Cory fashion. I have countless memories of good times with Cory; it was always fun and full of laughter. He never failed to make me laugh at something goofy he would do. I am heart broken knowing that I will no longer get to be in his presence. I miss you Cory, I wish we had more time together. We all do. My deepest condolences to his family & everyone’s hearts that he had the privilege to touch . May you rest peacefully, I will never forget you. Love you.

My deepest condolences to all of Cory’s family and friends, I still cant believe that you are gone, I first met Cory when we were 8 years old and I never met someone so talented and determined. He really had a gift and passion for music, he even inspired me to learn the drums and was kind enough to come over and jam even though he was so far ahead of me. Cory was and still is one of the most kindest and caring person I know, he really had a heart of gold. Growing up I’ve seen him pursue his dreams and what a mark he has left on everyone. I even had the opportunity to work with Cory and his dad for a bit and will never forget all the memories as you will live on in all of our minds and hearts, rest in peace brother we all love and miss you.
