I am so sad to hear of the passing of Phyllis. My deepest sympathy to the family and friends. My family lived on Boyers Road and so we knew the Wilsons. I remember seeing Tom and Phyllis taking their walks together. They were a very loving unique couple. Years later I remember them coming into McDonald's from time to time. I felt honored to serve them and it always was a pleasure to see them and have a little chat. May Phyllis rest in peace.

My Aunt Phyllis was a wonderful woman and a very gracious lady and I am so grateful to have had her in my life. I find it hard to believe that we have lost her. She, together with Uncle Tom, have been a permanent and stable fixture my entire life and we will miss her. My own family and I, along with everyone else that crossed their threshold, were always given the warmest of welcomes, treated to whatever meal was happening and were only sent home after a big hug and kiss and being told that we were loved. How's that for a legacy!
Aunt Phyll lived for her family and her faith. She was a life long church-goer and although she never preached, she lived her faith daily. Welcoming, talking, listening, caring towards everyone, including strangers, just as Christ taught.
Correction: I need to adjust the wording above..... We have not lost Phyllis. Her wit and wisdom will never leave us. She was too much loved ever to be forgotten, but grew tired and was called home. I agree totally with what Terry said at her funeral, "until we meet again". There is no doubt she will greet each of us with her brilliant smile, a welcoming kiss and surround us with love, just like she always does.

My heart is filled with sadness, but also with so many wonderful memories. Phyllis was my ‘Mom’, and she taught me so much through our years together. Always ready with a quiet ear, calm advice, such a great sense of humour and wit, patience, delicious home cooked big family meals (with warmed plates), fun card games even when Dad (Tom) was falling asleep at the table ;). She had a very big heart, and you would find it hard to find someone so loving. Tom, sending you a big hug. Keep those memories close during these difficult times. Sending love to you all!

My husband Bob and I always enjoyed our visit with Phyllis, my first cousin, and Tom in Keswick. The couple were always hospitable and there were often other interesting people present, which added to the ambiance. Also, Phyllis often filled me in on family history, which I appreciated. She will be missed.

To the Wilson Family,, please know how much I and my wife enjoyed knowing your Mom. She and your Dad took us under their wing and helped teach us the style and technique for Square and Round dancing. Many evenings were spent with them at their home, giving us the fine points of the "Dances" , for that we were so blessed.
I am sure God has prepared a wonderful place for her and she will be welcomed there.
With Respect to Phyliss and her family,
Bryan Reddon.

Phyllis, my second Mom, was a very special lady. I say second Mom because she was my mother-in-law for 19 years and is the grandmother of my three sons, Tom, Rob and Jim. I will always remember her as such a lovely, pretty woman with the most gorgeous expressive eyes. Mom love to laugh, have fun as her family grew larger with grandchildren. She was famous for her Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners...so delicious!!! We would get a laugh each year as the grandkids opened one of their Christmas presents to find a big package of socks that Grandma was famous for making sure they had so their feet would always be warm (and also because their mothers didn't darn socks)! Mom enjoyed a good long life in Keswick filled with family, friends, birthday parties, square dancing, bicycle riding, card games around the kitchen table and on and on! As she and her hubby, Tom, or Pops as I called him, found they had more time on their hands since retiring, they travelled a lot. Talk about a well-rounded life! Phyllis touched so many lives while here on earth and will be missed by many. I am so thankful that Mom was peaceful in her passing with Tom and daughter, Susie, by her side. She is in heaven with her mother, Florence, her brother, Graham, and daughter, Patty now. Never to be forgotten, Phyllis Wilson, my second Mom! Love, Barbie

My mom was the most gracious, kind and loving person I have ever known. She shared her great wisdom and love so generously, and became known as "mom" to so many young people as we were growing up. Then, as adults, she embraced my friends like they were her family. My children adored mom and enjoyed so much their times with such a special grandma, laughing, playing cards, going on excursions, sharing meals, and basking in the warmth of her loving ways.
Mom was always open to new adventures! She enjoyed people, travel, dancing, cards, singing, church, her friends and her family, and most of all, mom loved my dad so very much. They had a tremendous life together. Dad adored mom and was always concerned to ensure that mom was well looked after and safe and secure. I've looked at so many pictures today, and the one thing that I see over and over again is that when we were having a special event, maybe a birthday or an anniversary, and we took pictures, in so many pictures dad was looking at mom. He was watching her, checking to see how she was doing, and enjoying her smile and her own joy of the moments. I'm so glad that my mom had a husband like my dad, to love and cherish for a lifetime.
There are no words to describe the loss of my mom in our physical world. Thankfully, I have her warm embrace in my mind and heart every day, and I can hear her sweet words "my darling daughter" and see her smile and feel her love, forever. We had the best talks, and she gave the best advice. Those moments will stay with me always. I love you, my marvelous mom!
Your darling daughter, Susan xoxo to infinity

We are all Grieving in our own way ,some of us thousands of miles away with no way of attending, although we long to be beside my father who is somehow being so strong. I know just how hard it is and will be, to stand up for for your children at a time like this. I am sending all my love and strength to him and will come when we can travel and share the smiles that we all will return to in time, as we learn to live with mom's passing and accept it as part of life. All our love Tim and Colleen
