Tony I didn’t know you well but here is what I do know. You drove Amy crazy, pissed her off and could generally be a giant pain in the ass at different times in your time together. However I worked beside her for quite a while,we became friends and stayed in touch while your relationship took its first steps. I talked to her when she was a little scared at how good and easy the connection was, told her it can happen but be careful. She gave her heart to you and you took good care of it. Thank you for loving my friend.

Antonie: I am so thankful to have known you and counted you among the people that I love. Your incredible sense humor and dependability are what I remember most, you were always there anytime I needed you, and most importantly, you were always there for Amy.
I’m thankful and happy that you and Amy married. I wish I could have been there in person for the event.
You left us and your pain and suffering behind, and thankfully you also left us all with a smile. You are my kooky older brother from another mother and you left this world on the day that our daughter bearing the name of our departed father entered. I am thankful for that, for you will always be with her on her birthday.
Love eternally dear brother and sweet rest.

So sorry for your loss Amy. Condolences to family and friends. Tony is at peace now and I believe he would want you to find your own peace your own way. Lean on those closest to you and know that you did all you could. I know how sad you are right now and how hard it is Amy. Take it one day, one step at a time. Know you are loved and so is Tony. Hugs

Ok, I wrote a whole big thing, but it suddenly disappeared so I know you didn’t want the mushy stuff.
Tony, thank you for being my brother, for making me laugh, and cry, and for being a real citizen to my parents. I’m so grateful for the joy and love you brought my sister, and for the fun and belly laughs we shared. And the love.
Your light will shine forever until we meet again. I’m so glad your suffering is now over.
Say hi to Pop and Jerry, Bear, and our other beloveds.
Until we meet again. I love you. Jill

Tony quickly became a good friend of mine. I nicknamed him Sam Elliott, and justifiably so - the mannerisms, the voice, the looks. He laughed and mischievously grinned his way into my heart, as I'm sure he did with countless people.
I tried my best to help kick his stubborn butt through chemo.
Kneeling by his bedside to say goodbye was admittedly the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I have fallen apart many times after that. It's hard to accept that he has moved on. God I wish I had known him longer, and met him sooner.
To my Amy, my Mrs. Sam Elliott - you are one of my best, sweetest, kindest friends. I am here for you always, you know that.
Tony/Sam, rest easy my friend. We will take good care of your beautiful wife, I promise. It's not goodbye, its see you later.
I can hear you now "see ya, kid"
Love you

My heart aches for Tony and also for Amy. This happens to all of us eventually but that does not make it any easier to handle or to go on in the future with our lives. I will always be thinking of Amy and Tony, two great people made for each other. My strongest sympathies.
