I was at the funeral for Nick Pervan yesterday and re-connected with Carol and family. I said where is Velma, only to find out she had passed some years ago. It's funny how peoples lives get so busy and you lose track of the friends you have made. I know you Velma and John were great friends of Carol and Nick when they lived in Keswick. Anyway I just wanted to pass on my condolences to Velma's family. She was a beautiful soul. May the Dear Lord grant her eternal rest.

Hi Michael.. I am so so sorry of your mom's passing . I was heartbroken when I received the news and I hope you all are doing okay. Please give your dad a big hug for me for those two have put such a dent in my heart.. I will forever carry all the wonderful memories I had with her and will cherish each and everyone of them. She was sure one of a kind and more of a mother to me then you will ever know. She picked me up everyday when I thought I would never get up again and made me brush off the bad things in my life and made me somewhat the person I am today. I talk of her often and tought of her more. Your mom was someone to me that was a one of kind mother away from home and my bestvfriend while I lived in Ontario.. your dad the same they made it so easy to guide someone in a relationship.. fish they made me laugh so much
. I am thinking of you Mark your dad and all the kids so much especially David.. someone she talked about more then anyone in her life may you guys find peace in all the wonderful memories and cherish every moment .over you guys and sending you hugs my darling.. your mom was one of a kind down to earth best friend and mothervfigurebi have ever had.. I will truly miss her on my visits back to Ontario.. it sure will never be the same..hugs ♥️

We have been living back in NL for 20+ years but we will never forget our time in Ontario. Velma was such a dear friend to my cousins Margie and Tom and that is how we got to know Velma and John. Wonderful people who were so very dear to all of us. To them we were all family because we were related to Margie and Tom. She loved to laugh and had the kindest heart, a heart that one could never forget. Rest in peace Velma. God speed.
