Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers.
My mother was a selfless human being.
Always,always putting others first.
Throughout my life I have watched my mother help others.
I've seen her give the coat from her back.
She has taken in many, many people over the years and given them a place to call home.
She became an R.P.N to help people even more.
My mom loved fruit trees and that you could have such a beautiful thing.
She also loved clocks.
My mom loved younger people, their energy, their innocence, and naughtiness.
I remember endless, endless hours down at the lake with her.
The neighborhood kids would come 'because there was an adult' and she would wear us out!
My childhood is full of endless memories of the fun we've had.
My mom helped me with my first business....when I was 11.
The Dew Worm Business. lol. She would come out with me at night to teach me how to pick the dew worms, what a great sport she was.
I've been driving since I was 10, because of her, and I've never been in an accident!!
She taught me not to hold grudges, that life is short, so love big and be kind. Always.
She also taught us not to give a shit about what others think.
She has given endlessly, even until her death.
My mom,in her way, prepared myself and my girls for this.
Mom had suffered for many years now and made it quite clear on how much she loved us but wanted to go 'home'.
Her spirit is fee now.
She would tell me how she hasn't seen my brother since 1975 and missed him dearly.
I've had my mom by my side for almost 50 years, he only had her for 18.
There will be days to come when emotion will give us a twirl, but until then....
I have a peaceful, easy feeling.

My condolences Julia.
I have many fond memories of Doris, we had so many laughs together that I will never forget. As well as the best macaroni & meat, and hamburgers I have ever had, which she made us in the electric frying pan.
Thinking of you at this difficult time. xo

Julia and family...I had the pleasure of meeting your Mom more than thirty years ago when she returned to nursing school at Huron Heights. She loved mothering us younger students and we shared the bus ride home many days. What a great sweet lady. I have met her again many times these recent years as she was in hospital and we reminisced often. She loved telling the nurses we went to high school together despite the 30 years age difference. What a laugh. RIP lovely lady.

To my favourite aunt, Rest In Peace Auntie Doris. I have so many memories while growing up of visiting you at your home (farm). One in particular was the day Abby and I were hanging onto your truck as you drove thru the field. I fell off at the same time you stepped on the gas. I couldn’t run that fast to catch up but I could hear (and still hear to this day) Abby laughing her head off as the truck disappeared from sight! These memories I will cherish and every time I think of them or think of you, I will smile. Love Phyllis
