"David James" was certainly Super Dave, or just plain Super, in every sense of the word, to the extended Nelson family. Although a special pal to Paul and Sue, we all adopted him for a number of good reasons. It was always just assumed that he would drop by our Beaverton home to help with handy man chores, share special celebration days like Xmas; or during dock installations, and the odd fishing event.
Always chipper, always quiet and polite, always a good friend, and always a mischievous twinkle in his eye. I once made the mistake of challenging him to a game of pool. Big, big mistake playing the Shark ! He loved to debate issues just to keep a jovial conversation going; and when something special happened or was said; his fave saying was "holy jumpin' " . In the Spring of 2018 when our lakefront property was over run by a huge ice shove, David won the neighbourhood pool by picking the closest "final melt" date, and of course was pleased with the $120 prize !
Now Super is at peaceful, painless rest; Heaven will never be the same ! May God watch over, bless and comfort "David James", as well as his many loved ones !!! Paul & Janis Nelson & Family

To the Yardley and extended families.
Paul and Sue Nelson wish to extend their deepest condolences to Dave's immediate and extended family on his passing. Dave ( " Super " as we affectionately called him ) was part of our lives for the last 20 plus years and we enjoyed every minute of it.
Super was one of the most loyal, hard working, dependable, trustworthy friends anyone could ever ask for. He would give anything to anyone that needed it and not think twice about it.
We have so many great memories of Dave and his funny little quirks that he would come out with so often. We will miss the knocks on the door and him bursting in saying " honey I'm home " . He will also be greatly missed by the Nelson family who all considered Super part of our family and would ask why he wasn't there on the odd occasion that Dave was not present for gatherings. We could go on forever with stories but will leave them in our memories where they will always be. We Love You Super, plain and simple.
