Aunt Betty welcomed me into the Owens family 23 years ago when I married David, her nephew who she loved like a second son. She always made me feel like welcome and loved. She loved getting our annual Christmas card but always requested school photos of our daughters Amelia and Georgia and always sent them Christmas money. She also had a special place in my parents’ hearts as she and Uncle Johnny would bond with them over the Knights of Columbus stories. I love you Aunt Betty. ❤️❤️

Aunt Elizabeth you truly where one in a million, I have nothing but the fondest of memories of all our times together along with Uncle Johnny when you came back home to visit. I will miss our conversations but take comfort in the fact your at peace now in heaven with my mum and the rest of the family. I am sad that I won't be able to see you off on Friday but will toast your fantastic life with a Canadian Club, until we meet again. Love Stephen xx

To John & John Jr. I am so sorry to hear that Betty has passed. May she rest in peace. She was truly a bright light in the world, full of joy and laughter. The love just radiated from her. May your many memories of her sustain you in the days to come.

Aunt Betty always made me and my little sister G feel so loved; she always remembered us and kept us in her heart and would insist on spoiling us and sending us things. One of my best memories of Aunt Betty was visiting her and uncle Johnny’s house in Florida where they spoiled us once again with food and treats, up until then I never thought it could be possible to have such a nice day in Florida not spent at a Disney theme park. I love you aunt Betty, thank you for being such a strong, willful, caring, beautiful woman and an amazing aunt to all of us.

I was blessed to have 9 amazing Aunts but you were the only one in Canada. So many fond memories of Christmas, camping at your trailer when I was young, going to your cottage every weekend in my late teens. You taught me how to play cribbage, “off colour “ tongue twisters that would get me in trouble with my Mum and how to make sure you travel and see the world as much as you can, even in your late 70’s. You can rest now Aunt Betty, you’re home❤️ love you..
God Bless Uncle Johnny & John.
