I was very sorry to hear of John's sudden passing. I had the privilege of meeting him on a few occasions at the Museum of Northern History in Kirkland Lake where we talked extensively about his art and passion for working with the Aboriginal Community and Youth. Sending our sincerest condolences to all of John's family. May his memory live on through his wonderful work.

I met John and his family many years ago in Foleyet where he and his Mom Nina, a grandfather figure and Anna lived in one of my parents apartments. His art work was incredible as many of you know and Timmins claimed him as their artist with many of his works shown and displayed in many offices around town.
He even got to present some of his work to the Queen of England! What a loss it is to those who knew and loved him. My sincerest condolences to you all.
God bless you Johnnie <3

I did not meet John but he sounds like an inspirational and loving individual. May Susan and family celebrate his life together by remembering the many lives he had touched.

We have such fond memories of playing pickleball with John in Mount Albert! His friendly warm personality left us with such a positive feeling every time we interacted with him. He was most gracious kind and friendly towards our two grandsons who wanted nothing more than to have John as their partners because they knew they would win a game if he played on their side.
The boys tried hard to be his partner. He graciously played with both of them.
I remember having him as my partner because it was one of the few times I was a winner too.❤️

John capturing a picture in the early morning mist of his garden. This was one of John's greatest relaxing ventures. He loved his time in the garden and what he produced! I remember this day so well as he saw this picture in his artist's eye and ran out there to get it, and I caught him on camera taking the pictures.
