Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your husband, Lee and to his children and grandchildren. Lee was a loyal friend and kind man who made a lasting impression in our family. Dan enjoyed going to an Orioles game the last time they were together. You remain in our prayers. RIP Red.

My dear sister Enid
Hope you find comfort during your grieving period in the memories you created with Lee. Caring for him during his illness, granting him his wishes to be in the comfort of his home until he passed, should be a source of consolation. You are a selfless caregiver.
He was a kind and generous soul. I speak for our mom who I am sure would like everyone to know how much she appreciated his generosity during her period of transition from being self-sufficient. He made sure she had what she needed for the transition. She would always say when she heard a knock at the door and it was the delivery person, that package was from Lee. Years earlier in Maryland, he taught her to play pool, something she felt she could never do. Played basketball with my boys while visiting us in Pennsylvania.
He was a talented craftsman, creating beautiful pieces with wood and not hesitating to share his work with friends and family. For 2018 Mothers' Day he made me one of his creations lining it with American coins but first he had to let me know the purpose for which it should be used "Penny Planter". That was the military Lee.
He was a veteran of the Viet Nam war and a proud soldier. Not shying away from serving his country but doing so with pride and bravery. He will be missed. RIP.

Dearest Enid - Diane and I are so sorry for your loss of your beloved husband, and our dear friend, Lee. It hurts me especially, as well, as I continually dream away about all the memories of the 40 plus years that I knew him so well and considered him my best friend. We had such good times together playing softball, side by side at short and third, knowing that if I didn't get to a ball Lee was right in back of me getting to it, sometimes diving headlong for it! And with him with his Army and Steelers and Pirates and Terps and me with my Navy and Packers and Braves and Badgers, we always had plenty of notes to share. I remember how happy he was to have found you as his partner in life and was so proud to be married to you. When I came to see you both in 2010 you welcomed me with such open arms and made my stay so comforting. I hadn't seen Lee in such a long time and we both just needed that lasting time together again! Old Redd will be with me for as long as I live. We will be praying for you in your hours of sadness and wish we could be of more support than we can from so many miles away.
All our love, Richard & Diane
