Lynda Trenholme posted a condolence
Thursday, April 16, 2020
Have been looking up family history since my dad, Harry Edgar Trenholme of Montreal, Quebec passed away this March 28, 2020. Dad was born in 1922.
Just wondering about a connection as we are normally connected even those with out the “e”.
Don’t know if this we get to anyone but thought I would give it a try.
My condolences on the passing of Darrell B Trenholme. It is definitely not easy for us left behind.
Stay safe,
Thank You,
Lynda TrenholmeE

I met Old Darryl at John Melville Co running a 6x6 tandem army truck & Bantem excavator in Scarboro back in 1953. Darryl was digging for water & sewer work. This was the very backyard where I grew up. It wasn't until 1983 when I crossed paths with Old Darryl again when we both worked for Cliffside. We road together to the job location meeting up in Mount Albert at 5:30AM---that guy was like a race car driver. If he saw 2 tail lights in front of him, he had to be ahead of them. Old Darryl was a rough & ready character, a great guy on the job. Old Darryl could run any piece of equipment. He helped me when I went off on my own & had challenges with my excavator. Old Darryl and Larry Matt are 2 old farts I will miss. They don't make them like that anymore. Signed, Bruce Blacktopp

Sending big hugs and sincere condolences to the whole family. Darrell has been a big figure in my life and I enjoyed his company very much; especially in the later years when I finally understood his sense of humour and could stick up for myself!! All the memories from Elizabeth Street are clear as day... and I loved in the later years having a drink and a laugh with him at my Dad's on Christmas Eve. RIP Darrell xo your quick wit and kind heart were not lost on me. Lots of love to you all. I'll remember him fondly.
