To Annie and the family we wish to offer our condolences. May Malcolm RIP. He was my Manager, mentor and friend at BWIA. One of the best Managers that I had the privilege of working for. Outside of work we had some good fishing trips and shared our love for canaries.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

As a young boy, uncle Malcolm was part of our family in Pearl Gardens, Petit Valley, due to his employment at CP Air and having to be in Trinidad and Guyana monthly, so it was an every Sunday practise that he and I would be up at Maracas Beach 'for a dip' as he would say. We would head up there by 10:30 am in either 'the bus' as he would call his car or his Datsun 120Y which came a few years after. He was like my second father, and he communicated with me like a second son, I guess that's why I have always looked up to Mark as my older brother. Uncle Malo cared for and dealt with everyone around him like family, wether you were a part of, or just a friend, associate or acquaintance.
My visits to uncle Malo and auntie Annie's in Canada were exciting and splendid, as uncle Malo had everyday a joyous and food filling occassion.
I can go on and on relaying great times with uncle Malo, and it would all circulate around one basic trend .... his love for everyone, his caring about their wellbeing, his organising everything so your schedules, appointments and plans are all met, and most of all was his warmth of heart that he spread when he was on the scene of everything.
Uncle Malcolm is with our almighty God where he will continue to shine. May you rest in peace Uncle. Love Randy

Farewell, My memories of Malcolm. Jan 5th 2019
Growing up in Trinidad the Woo’s lived on Tragarette Road next door to Invaders Steel Band on one side and the SOLO factory on the other. Malcolm and his older brother Ken shared the room in the servant’s quarters located in the yard at the back of the house. This fitted with his life style at the time. As a young man in Port of Spain he loved to party, enjoyed liming with friends and just having a good time laughing, telling jokes and playing his cuatro. Naturally drinking rum was part of these activities which meant he often came home “charged up” in the early hours of the morning. Having his room outside was a blessing, it allowed him to come and go without having to worry about disturbing everyone in the house. Malcolm was also a trail blazer. He was a member of Dixie Land Steel Band and started playing pan at a time when it was most unusual for a Chinese boy to be in a steel band. Malcolm also had other interest. We played field hockey together for Chinese Club and he together with his brother Ken was part of the feared Woo defense. Many a time he would send both ball and player flying with one swing of his hockey stick. Duck hunting in the Caroni swamp was another favorite pastime and a pretend shooting stance became a natural reaction any time he saw a duck flying overhead while shouting out Pow! Pow! Pow! Fishing was his biggest passion and this we did a lot together. In Trinidad we went to Las Cuevas to catch lobsters and red fish. In Canada we did several all-nighters in the Bay of Quinte fishing for pickerel and almost every weekend during the summer months it was salmon fishing in Lake Ontario for the million-dollar salmon which we never caught. But eating sardine sandwiches was a must when we went fishing, Malcolm always said “you have to eat fish to catch fish” and his favorite question to his brother in law Tony ” Did you get your visa from the wife to go fishing today? “As for himself there was nothing to worry about because his nuptial vows between him and Annie was “Fishing and Duck hunting were out of bounds and nonnegotiable”. Malcolm was great company to have around, thoroughly enjoyed his “Old Talk” and “Bragging ways”. A great friend. The last time I visited Malcolm was just before Christmas and my departing words were “See You Again” to which he nodded and said “Yes”. Well he has now gone to the Lord, so getting together again will have to wait until I get there as well. In the mean time I will definitely miss his infectious smile, his stern voice (when needed) and that unmistakable look in his eyes. There is no doubt he lived a full life. Good bye Pal. Rest in Peace.
