Hello Derek,
Looking at all the photos that have been posted I see you and Barbara have a lovely, affectionate family and some beautiful grandchildren. Such good support at a time when you need it most. Some of the photos brought back memories of happy and healthy days at SBTL where you were very much a part of this community.
I have always been amazed at Barbara's ability to bounce back after so many times in the hospital and so many major medical procedures.What a fighter she was!
While you feel numbness and pain I pray that God will give you strength during your darkest days.

Dear Derek, Joanne, Derek and your families,
We were all so saddened and shocked to hear the news of the passing of Auntie Barbara. We are all so glad that we were able to spend that special time with her and all of you last year when we came out to Canada from England. She was a strong, courageous and loving person and that special time spent together will forever be a treasured memory for each one of us.

We were shocked to receive your phone call on Tuesday.
On behalf of all the Thomas family in the UK and Bahrain I send you our deepest sympathy at the passing of Barbara. She was a lovely person and a real 'chip off her own mother's block' You have known each other since schooldays and she truly was the Love of your Life.
You have your wonderful family to help you in your grief. Barbara had been ill for many years and she bore it with great strength and you have nursed her diligently.
