I only met Paul a few times (and we shared some laughs), but I feel I know him well as my husband Alex has worked with him since Paul started at Petro in 2011. He talked about Paul everyday and Alex thoroughly enjoyed his company and their banter at work. They had a connection that my husband is missing more than he can say. Through these stories, I have learned that Paul was a passionate person full of laughter, loyalty, silliness, dedication, and friendliness.
His spirit will be greatly missed at work and I cannot fathom what Laura and his family must be going through. I am terribly sorry for your loss at losing such a great family man and you and yours are in our thoughts.

This is all so very tragic and very hard to accept. Hard to understand? Unfortunately, it is not for us to ask or understand. I can only think that God is creating a beautiful band of Angels in Heaven. Paul will now be a part of this beautiful band. As he was a part of ours in our lifetime. So blessed that I had the privilege to be his Aunt. Paul was a one of a kind. He was strong, righteous, kind, caring, loving, funny, sweet, loyal, high integrities and work ethics and the most important for him – FAMILY. Family always came first. He was always there for us. We are all blessed to have been a part of his family. May he rest in peace with his Uncle Pete, Ryan, Steven, Grandmother, Aunt Dorothy and Nan and all of our family and friends in Heaven. I am shocked and saddened to hear that Paul has passed. He was one of the good ones. I remember him as far back as a teenager, coming by my moms house to hang out with my brother. I knew as I walked thru the door that Paul was visiting. Those feet! And as he got older I watched as his passion for hockey and fishing took over. And I watched as he grew into a man, became a father. He adored Carly. And I watched as he fell in love with Laura. He was taken too soon :( I will hang on to those happy memories and smile as I remember Paul. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all. RIP Paul.

Paul was our nephew whom we've known from birth. Never new him to be negative except watching him miss a goal playing hockey as a kid. Dear Laura,
Both Joe and I worked with Paul. In fact he was instrumental in hiring us at Petro Canada. He was always available to us and anyone who needed his assistance. His personality and humor was infectious and made everyone he spoke to feel like they mattered. He always had time. We cannot believe he his gone and I can only imagine your heartache. Both Joe and I have had many job stewards in our careers but none even came close to Paul. He spoke fondly of you and though we haven't met I could see the love he had for you. I hope you find comfort in that and in the knowledge that your husband was loved and respected by all. He will be truly missed and never forgotten. Please accept our sympathies and know you and your family are in our thoughts.
