There isn’t enough good in this world and now there is even less. Saying Steve was a genuine, kind hearted, giving, compassionate soul, would be selling him short. I’m still in shock. I had the honor of being friends with Steve for several years and his bigger than life personality, paired with his unmatched passion for the people and interests in his life is what made Steve the amazing human being that he was.

My heart weeps for your loss, the pain, helplessness and sadness that you must feel makes me wish escaping into a virtual world could be the answer. Unfortunately, that virtual world is where Steve and I, along with many of his friends, were able to share our passions together, laughing, living, collecting, enjoying our adventures in a world made for us. That world will never be the same without Steve. That world, where myself, Steve and many others often escaped our daily lives to hangout with each doing something we loved together, will always be missing the glue that held us together. Steve was that glue. I am so sorry for your loss, but be proud. Be proud you raised a young man that effected more lives then he may have even knew, a young man that many of us considered a close friend, a young man that we all truly cared about. Be proud that you raised a Son that spread his light to many of us, and that light won’t ever fade.
Steve, Guardian, I know you and your Dad are together, smiling, joking, laughing, waiting for the next raid to drop. Save me a spot in your fireteam. Until then, save some loot for the rest of us.
