Len was an exceptional mentor during the years I was involved with the Toronto Musicians Association board. He became a friend who always had a smile, a good word, and good advice. He truly cared about musicians and the music industry, and worked hard to improve the situation for those involved in it. My sincere condolences to Ellen and his family.

Len was a wonderful individual who was dedicated to his work with the AFM. In his capacity as Assistant to the Canadian Vice President, he was vigilant in taking all necessary steps to ensure that his advice on any topic under consideration was beyond reproach.
He was a great teacher and very supportive of the staff of the Canadian Office as well as the staff in the US. Often he would put in extra hours just to make sure that he left no stone unturned in his quest to provide the best input possible.
Len's relaxed personality and attention to detail complimented his work ethic and those who worked with him knew they could depend on him for assistance if necessary.
The AFM was lucky to have Len under its banner of leadership. Len will always be remember for his his contributions to the AFM and his AFM brothers and sisters and he will never be forgotten for the work ethic he brought to the job.
We will miss Len and remember him often

So sorry Ellen, Paul, Mark and Dawn to hear of your loss.
God did not make any person more genuine and more honest than Len.
Nobody ever cared more for the welfare of musicians and, indeed, all artists than Len.
I was honoured an privileged to serve Local 149 when Len was on the Board of Directors there and even more honoured and privileged to serve with him when we were both at the Canadian office.

Dear Ellen and family
How shocked and saddened Graham and I are to hear of Lenny's passing.
I remember vividly how we worked together over the years. He loved the industry and fought hard and passionately for those musicians he represented.
May you be comforted with the beautiful memories you made as a family.

Working with and knowing Len was a privilege and honour. He will be greatly missed not only by those who knew him, but also by the musicians, some of who never did know him and only saw the results of the hard work he did to better their careers from behind the scenes.

I don't even know where to start to list all of Len's achievements as an administrator for both the AFM and the Musicians Rights Organization Canada.
It would be enough to say that Len made life better for thousands of musicians, but I will always remember him as one of the kindest, warmest, most helpful people I have encountered in this business. All I can do right now is picture the smile he always had on his face.
On behalf of the 1200 musicians in the 21 orchestras of OCSM, our sincerest condolences to Ellen and all of Len's family and friends.

I’m so sorry to hear of Len’s passing. I have so many memories of long phone calls in the office and some very interesting times in Las Vegas. I don’t think there has ever been a more dedicated officer or staff member at the AFM. We’ve lost one of great ones

Len was a wonderful person. Everything he pursued he did with a great passion and had a strong conviction to right and wrong. I think this was one of the reasons I enjoyed our conversations so much. The dinners together with Len, Ellen and other friends were always fun and memorable.
My deepest condolences for your loss to all of the family.

Dear Ellen & Family,
We are so very sorry to hear about the passing of Len. He was a wonderful gentlemen who we remember well along with yourself and your son Mark, who played on the same hockey team with our late son Kevin during our hockey days with the York Simcoe Express AAA. Those were fun days that we will always remember. We hope you may somehow find peace and comfort in remembering all the wonderful memories Len has left with you to.
Sincerely,
Al & Judy
