I was in hospital myself following a car accident when your Mom died but several weeks later I heard about her death from Ev Veale of the Toronto Choristers. However I had no way to be in touch with you to offer my condolences so am very happy to have received this notice today from Shelagh Cohen, former Music Department member.
Your Mom was a very special friend to Jim and to me.( I do hope you know that Jim passed away Oct.17, 2017.) She was an extremely warm and loving person with high ideals. We were very fond and respectful of Carol.
I know you will miss her in your lives.
Good wishes,
Ruth

What a gracious, caring, affable, and humble person Carol was, and how very sad I am to learn of her passing. It was through Carol's role as music teacher and consultant for the Toronto Board of Education that we became friends and colleagues. Other than friendship and camaraderie, Carol's gift to me was her gentle, generous and truly exemplary mentorship. She was my role model, to whom I will always be indebted.
With sincere condolences to her family,
Shelagh Cohen

Dear Sylvia & Mark:
Peter Holmes announced the passing of your Mother, Carol, this morning in church.
My deepest condolences go out to you both. Carol was such a wonderful woman she was always smiling and always only had good things to say about everyone you truly had a special mother.
I remember back to 1977 when she held a bridal shower for me in her home on Melrose Avenue which was a complete surprise. Carol was always doing for others.
Sincerely Linda Kaye (Purser)

The memories we have of dear Aunty Mary Carol are irreplaceable. So much connection in so many special ways over the decades with her and Uncle Bill. Thinking of you now, Mark & Sylvia, as you grieve, 'though with hope through Christ. Thankful she is now with Him. And her beautiful singing voice is praising her Saviour in person!
God's peace be yours!

So many good memories. I wonder, how many weddings did your Mom sing at?

Such a dear cousin. She was dearer to me than any of the 23 maternal cousins
And her music!, weddings and funerals. All special memories.
I accompanied your Mom many times and was there to see her win The Lady Eaton cup at Kiwanis. A beautiful unaccompanied song, Wish we had recordings of these occasions..
My deepest sympathy to you all and especially to you Mark not being able to with your Mom in her final days.
Love Beth
